I gave you that :x

These are currently on sale at costco for £13.99 excluding VAT.(just incase you have a card)

They are £41 in john lewis

Would look great in prison themed kitchen. Likely to end up in Home Bargains in the future cos no one wants to buy one, so I'll wait until then... not to buy one.

Gave up on the idea of buying these after reading some of the Amazon reviews. I'd worry about the quality, and how long they were going to last. :x

So long as you PROPERLY wash a chopping board between uses you'd have no problem with just 1 board.
Being a butcher until recently in a BIG supermarket and knowing what goes on 'behind the section' I can tell you now your meat has probably already been cut on the wrong block, or with the wrong coloured knife, handled with bloody hands from a different animal - worse still dropped on the floor. On top of that it almost certainly will have been re-packed DAILY giving it a longer date.
I couldn't believe my ears when a joint of beef was dropped on the floor at work and I was told not to bother washing it off as it would be cooked afterwards killing any germs it may have picked up, so I wrapped it up covered in dirt and bacteria. Apparently that is 'quite acceptable'.

That wouldn't be Tesco, would it? Wasn't there a TV programme not so long ago about Tesco practices?

No wasn't Tesco, Asda, Somerfields, Sainsburys or Co-op. (though I doubt they are any different) Their policy will almost certainly say different, but the sheer amount of waste meat supermarkets have would bankrupt them if they didn't do something with it. NO butchery manager is going to throw away anything he doesn't need to, or it would severely affect his 'Targets' and he would end up being fired for having too much wastage.
I'll let you work it out from there lol.
TBH I was 13 when I started working in Dewhurst, then went on to Normans - I am now the high side of 30 and NOTHING has changed in all those years, old and dark meat is still re-wrapped daily, than finally dipped in chinese/bbq flavours to extend it even further or goes into 'Butchers Steak mince' (not pre packed stuff).
Worse still, ALL the types of meat that are dipped in flavouring are LITERALLY thrown in the same tub for coating, chicken, turkey, beef etc.
the tubs were full of bits of dried up flavoured blood and meat'S'. Makes you wonder what the authority in charge of this sort of thing are up to, any day of the week they could walk in and check the tubs and find this, but they simply don't.
Never Ever buy dipped stuff, buy it un-flavoured and dip it yourself with a sachet of chinese etc, that's the only way you'll know it's totally safe.
I better stop there before the food police come round my house!

Great chopping boards and it look good in my kitchen.

Mine arrived this morning - very happy with them.

bit pointless having 4 separate boards to prevent cross-contamination only to store them all on top of each other lol
