Knives. R.I.P

agreed. would only use something like this as a trivet or to put utensils on when cooking.
no danger would I use it as a chopping board.

Why what would it do to my knives? What type of chopping board would be better. I do like wood ones but they don't like my dishwasher are plastic ones the best to go for?

Joseph Joseph chopping boards are plastic and get scored immediately - shame because the cheap chopping boards don't look as damaged after a couple of uses!

Just in case you don't realise even though it's temporarily out of stock it's still available to order at the £6.97 price and Amazon will send you an update regarding estimated delivery date so no harm in ordering if you don't mind waiting

Know exactly what you mean and to be honest for the price they charge for them I'd expect them to be far better quality as they aren't cheap....bought a £2 plastic chopping board from Tesco and it's lasted far better than the plastic Joseph Joseph ones that I was given as a present.

Misread, I thought these where glass not plastic.
Still, you're better with wood. Salt them then scrub them clean. No dishwasher.

Just double checked after reading your comment and this board I posted is definitely glass but not sure if we're now all talking at cross purposes...lol...

I have several glass boards but like you I wouldn't use them for chopping food on as don't want to risk blunting my knives so tend to just use them for setting hot pans/utensils on when cooking especially since the cooling rack incident I had when I didn't notice that the cooling rack I'd bought had a plastic coating which promptly melted when I took a cake tin out of the oven and set it on it....as they say you live and learn and it's a mistake you only make once
