Looks nice but I have one and not worth £16.95

It was cheap and nasty construction - a dead giveaway was the lining coming out of the sleeves and past the gathering at the wrist. Pockets got holes in them quickly - another sign of poor quality.I'll try this and if the quality is as bad, there'll be no more Joules for me

Might have been a fake. Joules stuff is top notch

Ok doesn't sound great quality....I've ordered one so it may be relegated to dog walking duties after washing. Thanks for the heads up.

Even for the rrp £35 the price already tells you it wouldn't be great quality....

You're prob right but Joules make some nice things so worth a punt.
What are joules sizing like? Never owned anything from them but this looks quite good for spring time

I have the more expensive fleece lined gilet and the quality is amazing. Sizing is pretty much what they say i.e. i usually wear a large and the large one fits perfectly.

I was thinking the same, not sure where u get something similar for less?
Has someone told Tim?

Mole stores have regatta stuff reduced quite a lot. Not quite same quality I’m sure but I’ve picked up jackets for £10
These gilets are lightweight, I bought one for my husband this Christmas - it felt nice quality but definitely thinner than other gilets I've bought from Joules so may just be a spring time one! Either way it's worth trying for the price :-)

Was from Amazon not a marketplace vendor, so unlikely
I already have one of these, ordered the other year and it has stayed in really good nick so +heat from me! Tempted to get a 2nd at that price
Maybe I've been unlucky but I've found the quality of materials in Joules clothing to be very poor. £150 overcoat that ripped in both pockets, baby trousers and socks with embroidery that disintegrated after a few washes, socks that did the same. Shirts that tear really easily, not impressed. The only items of clothing that performed adequately was some boxer shorts.

I can only speak on the medium sized one which is a lovely fit on me, and I'm only 5'9 and a slim 70kg.
Ordered and heat added, ta

To those raising concerns over quality - it's 16 quid...!
Bargain. Ordered.
Just for info. I have bought this for myself plus another different gilet and one for a relative. All 3 have been good so far for us and as they were bought in a sale a while ago really good value.

They have always been true to size in our house

Same with me. One item a coat not impressed by quality. But you read others ARE happy with what they bought so you think have I just been unlucky ?
I got a joules one from an outlet for £20. The quality is great, it’s really comfy and warm also. Practically lived in it for the past month as the temperature has been fairly mild.

Well if it’s anything like washing a duvet then it can go lumpy when drying. Putting in tumble dryer with tennis balls is supposed to sort it out after washing.

Worth a shot. Ordered, thanks OP
Is joules gilet posh french talk for "body warmer"

Exactly. Same goes for any down filled garment
Been looking for a cheap gilet, this should do for pottering about in the garden and outside with the kids. Ordered.
Been after a gilet for a bit, for £16 it's worth a try!

Larger than normal. Medium is quite baggy unless you’re a fatty.
Forget this garbage. Got a heated gilet from eBay. It's absolutely amazing!
Just missed out on a cheeky large
Ordered XL thanks OP
M and L are out of stock

Washed my Uniqlo one a few times now and it comes out fine with no tumble drying
