Pre-order, Due for release on 30 June 2019. Base takes money on dispatch.

This might be a good time to place a pre-order on this and secure a copy, if you are looking to get the game at all. Apparently SEGA has stopped the sales of the game in Japan after one of the game actor's being arrested over alleged drug use. Due to that, it is possible the game would be released in limited quantities over here too, just saying.

Going to be interesting to see what the verdict is regarding the release of the game in the West. Hopefully we will get an update later on today as Gematsu said that "Sega is currently discussing its course of action regarding the western release of Judgment, and that a decision has not yet been made."

I wonder if they will end up re-recording the VO for the character, and thus patch him out of them game. I guess that shouldn't really affect the Western release, as it is already 3 months away and could probably find time to do it if needs be.

Either way, great price, extremely excited for the game & love base! Heat!

Edit: Also, I am surprised to see no steel book version, as that seemed to be the norm (Yak 1, Yak 2 etc), but at the same time, I believe that First of the North Star did not have one.

Did you hear one of the Japanese voice actors has been arrested for drug use? Sega has pulled the game from sale in Japan pending investigation, supposedly he voices Olaf in Japan too

Yes, the main villian. The Western release is probably a way off now

I downloaded the demo from the Japanese PSN a few months ago (it was called Judge Eyes), but I see it has disappeared as well.
'Japan Sega game sales halted after cocaine arrest'

A bit OTT, I'm sure he was just method acting .
Yeah played the Japanese demo...it's good (basically Yakuza with some dated following mechanics). Hoped they'd keep the Japanese voices as an option for the western release (american vo is awful)...looking unlikely.
I love beat em ups and Yakuza was a fantastic update to that. (flirt).Judgement seems even more impressive
I just pre-ordered the Japanese version, as all Japanese copies have been withheld!:

Rather insane really, when Yakuza 4 was ported to PS4 recently there was a similar issue and they changed the actor for one of the main characters... hoping they can resolve the issue in a similar manner.

… Yes, I did still pre-order from base too... :P

I actually like the Japanese voice with English subs in the Yakuza series, it gives it a feeling of authenticity.
Can't wait for this
