This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

The oversupply of 5* hotel rooms in Dubai seems to be biting. Travelrepublic have the highly rated 5* Jumeirah Zabeel Saray at £203 per night HB for 2 in September. Breakfast will obviously be at the Zabeel but Jumeirah 'dinearound' will give you access to 40+ 5* restaurants at other Jumeirah hotels including the Burj al Arab although there is usually a supplement to go to the Burj. You will also have access to the Wild Wadi waterpark at the Jumeirah Beach hotel. There are other 5* hotels with availability at even cheaper rates but dinearound and the Wild Wadi make this hard to beat.

Problem is I'll book and knowing my luck so will half the UK and then it will be like home away from home and will need another holiday as the 1st one didn't feel like it!

It's the 2nd holiday that I can't afford that I will need cos of the 1st one - thus all holidays cancelled!

Is this a safe country for same sex partners?

As long as you avoid all public displays of affection with a same sex partner I think you should be ok. I'm not gay, but I wouldn't dream of visiting due to their laws.

A lot of hotels now want to sell a certain percentage of rooms well in advance and often quite cheaply. The big plus with Travelrepublic is a £15 deposit and a £40 cancellation fee. If the price goes down you can just cancel and rebook and most of the cancellation fee is refunded.
May have to look into these. We already have our reward flights booked for end of Sept into Oct next year.

I stayed here for my honeymoon and the only issue is it’s right on the far side of the palm so takes ages to get anywhere! Great hotel though

No and yes. The hotels could not possibly care less and the police have no interest in hotel guests, UNLESS they are called to an incident at which point things become problematic. If you end up in some sort of dispute with an Emirati it is your fault irrespective of what happened.

Booking into a hotel together and riding them ragged all night is ok tho?

You usually have to book a twin room, but yes that would be generally OK.
£200 plus per night .... times are hard, budget don’t stretch that far .... could stay for 6 hours on a pro rata basis or 12 hours without the missus ... what a dilemma
Great place, so much to do there. Go for it.

Me neither until earlier this year and I sounded like you with all the preconceptions beforehand, but when I went none of that stuff was really true. Fabulous place, wow factor galore and I can't wait to go back.

Unfortunately there are certain laws etc which are true, and that's the reason I'd never visit. If we went I'm sure we'd have a great time, but there are so many other places.

Umm, no point then. Funny I thought you were trying to be racist and funny at the same time.

How the hell is that racist in any shape or form?!?

Were they Bedouins not so long ago? Yes!

Do they still practice camping in the desert/and just setting up tents/marquees on a normal street in their own countries? Yes!

Been and seen - travelling back and forth for decades

Super impressive from origins to 7 star buildings

Go look to be offended elsewhere or go Doctors and see if you can get a sense of humour
Stayed here 2016, gorgeous holtel and half board options were fantastic We used Uber and found it very reasonable, There is also a Hotel mini bus that is free that takes you to the shopping Malls and the Water Park that was also included free with a voucher to get food at the park.
Amazing hotel!

Supposing 71% of the population is expatriate they have, relatively, come a long way.
Won’t alcohol be very expensive at these hotels?

Yep, £9 a bottle of Budweiser if I remember right? £14 glass of wine

You definitely are.
Think he’s saying you’re being ‘gay’. Not actually, just a little dramatic.

There are many places I'd rather visit first and it isn't somewhere I'd dream of visiting due to the factual evidence of how they treat certain groups of people, and the draconian laws they have.
I don't really see the connection between taking a stand against such a place as being gay, and also what being gay has to do with being dramatic.
Reading some of the comments, no one is forcing you to go, you know that, right?
