Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai via Travelrepublic 7 nights half board £1740

This is my favourite hotel and is currently the cheapest I have seen it for a long time for September 2020 stays. £1740 for two people, seven nights, half board in an Ocean Deluxe room. All rooms look out onto the Burj al Arab. Half board dinearound gives you access to dozens of different restaurants in the Jumeirah group including in the Burj ( supplement payable for Burj usually ) and you get free access to the Wild Wadi waterpark.
Yes, it isn't cheap,
Yes, it will still be hot, but this is one of the iconic hotels in the world and is worth every penny

Yep couldn't agree more.
My holiday is just ruined if my pool isn't at least 10ft deep.
As for not being able to use my golf buggy to get to all my restaurants. That's just unthinkable!

Bargain... Not!

It is currently £2720 for the same period with Destination2. If your taste runs to world class 5* hotels this is cheap

This is a bargain for this hotel and considering it has recently been completely renovated (long overdue). Guaranteed sun everyday and pleasant surroundings.

That said, I would not personally stay at this hotel. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on Palm or Ritz Carlton on JBR are much better.

I have to agree, Fujairah and even Abu Dhabi are cheaper with excellent hotels but this one was the first in dubai and is special

I've just come back from there on the 24th, I usually stay in the Renaissance Downtown.

What's the Jemeirah hotel like for getting around?

it depends on whats happening locally when you book, also they have peak and off peak seasons. Some 4 stars are only £40 a night if you shop around.

I don’t believe that. If you put your mind to it then you can go swimming in the sea.

I swam 1000m in Antarctica last year, the water temp being -20
Sounds mint for a stag do... plenty of booze and bird chasing.... OH!

The pool is chilled😁

Honestly, it's not pleasant swimming in water that hot.. plus the fact the sand is too hot to walk on..

It's a holiday, not an endurance test...

Just out of curiosity what are these gold diggers? Eastern European?
I’d really like to go to Dubai for the beaches really.. where can I stay that’s inexpensive but near a lovely beach please??
Personally, I really don't see the appeal of Dubai. A friend took his family and spent the entire stay in air conditioning! I'd rather not pay crazy prices to visit a place where there's little to see or do apart from be surrounded by well healed tourists and oil rich locals cruising the designer stores....

If you are into people watching it is an education. The number of disparate age couples you see in the high end hotels is a testament to internet commerce.
And yes, predominantly eastern European.
