I never known Aldi (or Lidl) to quibble over a warranty - you seem to be suggesting some small print we should all be aware of?
It's an aldi warranty they're not going to mess about, they never do. Also as for eBay hahaha you'll either pay a fortune for delivery or it'll be junk with no warranty.

This seems a great price all things considered, I've owned one of the cheap eBay ones before it was basically junk after 8 months and seller didn't want to know

​I bought a drill last year. after around 6 months it died. so I though "hey I have warranty" and I took it back to the shop where I bought it.
Unfortunately you have to send the faulty unit to Germany. shipping cost where around £15+ (new drill £24.99).
