Alloy bodied laptop with 1080p screen.
13mm thick.
There is a good review over at techtablets. I know some people will say buy an old Lenovo Thinkpad but obviously there are pluses and minuses to this, for a start you won't get 9 hours of browsing from one charge.

Celeron N3450 processor
6Gb RAM
64Gb eMMC
SSD slot M.2

Matte Anti-Glare 13.3 inch IPS 1080p FHD Screen
2 x USB 3.0
Wifi b/g/n/ac

I'm more interested in the 2-in-1s but compare this to anything in PC World, and it looks amazing for the price.

Perhaps have a look at the Onda Xiaoma 11 or if you don't mind adding a heat sink the Cube mix plus. Or look at the refurb Dell tablets at mcs I think it was.

Or the Onda Obook11 Pro for $300 at banggood with code 7d62a7.Its got the M3-7m30 processor.

Great price
Gets a very positive review on Techtablets. This is great value for money.
I knew it would go negative, but I think it's a good option for some people so I think it needed to be posted. I think it'll get a few negatives if only because it's Gearbest..
The processor in this is pretty decent as well for day to day tasks, considering. Probably around 90% faster than the old Celeron n2840 which still shows up in many budget models.

I think this is a really decent processor, it's actually usable, more than can be said for most of the atom and older Celeron, this is similar to a 4th gen i3 which is good for most things, even a bit of gaming.

I took too long debating and the deal ended.

On this link it says there are 3 left but as you say when you put them in your basket its the original price, guess they feel they have sold enough at the headline price, so much for the 6 day sale!!

Its worth keeping a look out for the Chuwi 12.3, the Onda Xiaomi 21 and 31, and the Civiltop air.

Not heard of the last three, quite like the chuwi 14 too. This does seem most interesting atm, any have upgradeable ram I'm guessing not.

Onda battery life seem a bit low. Like the fingerprint though on some of theirs.

Think all the memory is soldered, not sure if the Chuwi 12.3 has replaceable SSD. Chuwi 14 gets good reviews.
The 6gb ram does set this apart from those though, suspect next round of releases will push it out to 8gb which will be nice.

They also need to add ac wifi and make M.2 SSD slot standard, won't cost them much at all but definitely worth it. The Chuwi 12.3 comes with 6gb ram, but then it will be slowed by the high res screen, much as its nice I think for the N3450 processor a 1080p is probably better. The Chuwi Surbook out next month is a tablet with hi res touchscreen.

i believe if this was from a retailer other than Gearbest it'd probably get hot

I'd be ok with 1080p with touch, but higher doesn't really interest, extra cost makes it less appealing. Guess ac useful down the line but don't think my router has it anyway for now.

Can get 3pro for £190 still and chuwi 12.3 on offer at £250

Hmm hope the Chinese companies don't start coming out with Windows S machines.

They've now bought out a new version with AC and .M2 slot

techtablets.com/201…ot/

If buying from Gearbest is really a big problem, Jumper have a store on AliExpress, I guess in time it'll be available there and at other retailers for a similar price.

I amended the link to the new version on Monday, but it now seems that although showing as £175, when you add it to your basket it goes to £237, so looks like the offer has finished.

Still works for me, there's two different models that can be selected so be sure to select the dual band wireless version in silver using the right option.
techradar.com/rev…1/2
This is virtually the same as the ezbook 3 pro. There are a couple of differences, the 3 pro has 6Gb Ram, the Onda 31 has a fingerprint reader and an easily accessible M.2 SSD hatch(on the ezbook 3 pro you need to unscrew the base of the laptop to access the M.2 SSD, not really a problem as its not a job you do everyday).

quick question if you order from gearbest wont you be getting custom charges?

Maybe is the best answer. If you use the standard free delivery it is more often than not the case that there won't be charges. If you use DHL or similar express service you will will almost certainly get charged, it will be probably no more than £30 as a rough guess.

Sorry for late reply, if they send it by courier it may get customs charges though they may under declare it some.
