Proud to be a coffee snob. Only extra snobbish - more obsessive - as I refuse to use anything automatic.

Hot deal, great coffee maker.

This is an awesome machine. I used to commute from Portsmouth to London everyday and we have this machine in our office. It genuinely made me look forward to arriving at work. I can't afford this, but if I could then I would...!! Heat added.

I can add that the Jura range are superb and make (in my opinion) better coffee with the right beans than you can get not he high street. However, be warned, as with all machines that are this mechanical and complicated, they will go wrong, and you should estimate around £200-£300 per repair plus the hassle sending it back. In using these for twenty years, they generally fail every four years.
Had a £1000 Gaggia bean to cup machine that was always going wrong (heat pump). Got full refund. Bought Jura Ena5 to replace it probably about 10 years old now and still going strong. No issues. Great machines.
Have this model, love it!
Expensive for a coffee machine but cheap for a Jura one - Hot!

What is the point to go to work from Portsmouth to London every day and still can't afford it?

We had a Gaggia coffee machine which we used for years but we wanted a new machine. Like you we searched for a good coffee machine which was a good price and came across this machine. This makes lovely coffee and you can set the machine to have strong or normal coffee and milky coffee. It holds a lot of coffee beans and its easy to use. This is the cheapest price i've seen so snap it up. For 3 replacement filters it costs £33 but should last you quite a while and it doesn't take long to clean the machine. Hope you love this coffee machine and it will last you for years. Let me know when you have tried it, you won't regret buying this machine

You forgot to price in the coffee and electricity! I think you need to at least double that to at least 500+++ (coffee ain't cheap!).

Unless you go to Starbucks or Costa every single day, we're talking several years worth of coffee without the breakdowns or cleaning !!

Puts it into perspective!
Thx ordered, I enjoy a coffee every now and then, is this easy to fit the pods in?

A cup of coffee works out at roughly 10p in comparison to £3 at Starbucks. A saving of £2.90 per drink.

That plays out at under 250 coffees before the machines paid for itself. If there's two adults in the house that works out at 125 coffees each.

That's a coffee every 3 days for a couple or 1.5 days for a single person.

As for breakdowns? The machine will be covered by warranty.

Yes, you have to take into account the £20 a year to clean it.

That's before we even take into account the environmental issues that come from birista coffee shops.

As you say, let's put things into perspective

So does my £40 Lidl 15 bar machine. There is a bit less to go wrong too.

But it is ludicrous to express cost savings in being a hermit.

I’ve had a Jura F90 machine for years and it’s still going strong. It’s had two repairs, first one an O ring needed replacing but it was done with a service at the time and the second I had to have a new grinding unit as a result of using some oily beans from Harrods. Both repairs were around £200 due to being done in my home.

I prey it continues to work as the new models seem to have done away with the manual frothing wand. Yeah my machine has the full on kit for making cappuccino, but cleaning the pipes is too much faff. I prefer to simply froth a small amount of milk in the cup with the frothing nozzle and then add the coffee. Result is pretty much a great flat white and it’s made it consistently for around 10 years.

It will be a sad day when the machine is finally beyond economic repair, but unless they reintroduce a machine to the range that can use the frothing nozzle I’d be looking elsewhere for its replacement.
Fantastic price for premium machine.
Received mine today.. love it!! Thanks for posting!!
Bexci just got mine through as well. So pleased, such a good machine.

If it's perspective we're after, the coffee you could brew with this machine could be far superior to the cack Starbucks and Costa spew.

Thinking of buying this myself. How warm is the coffee? I have read reviews with people complaining that it is not hot enough.
@Bob_Brown - you can actually set the temperature according to your preference for each style of coffee. This also includes temperature for milk. Other variables are coffee strength and coarse to fine grinding
Yes.. I agree, you can set the temperate depending on your preference..! It’s a brilliant coffee machine.. would recommend for sure!!
Back in stock this morning, after being out of stock yesterday.
Thanks!

Compared to kettle coffee it isn't hot only warm
I would not recommend these machines. Very high maintenance, you must clean out the grinds from the inlet tray everytime you use it, (easy enough but also easy to forget but machine can remind you) descaling, replacing filters. Using milk function creates yet higher cleaning maintenance, must is to use rinse feature everytime on top of rinsing the container out. Mine is high end delonghi machine (likely all the same components inside different shell). If you don't mind increasing demand on your wallet and demand on your time for cleaning just to have a better Cup of coffee go for it, otherwise normal instant coffee is good without the drama
They makes these machines so easy on the eye very designer and that is part of the appeal what I don't hear much about is the maintenance and costs associated, live with one and that's the only way to discern if it's for you or not. Boiling a kettle is easier but obviously coffee doesn't have the depth of flavour neither does it have the nuisance clean up after it either. Anyone thinking of buying it as an expensive shoe it does look good sitting on the counter top buy after a while you won't notice it

Kettle coffee? You mean instant freeze dried rubbish dissolved in boiling water? That's not even coffee.

Coffee should never be brewed at that high a temperature, under any circumstances.

That's your opinion. My opinion is that your opinion is utter nonsense.
We have a Jura S8 - fabulous machine, and it's not especially difficult to work on when things go wrong. Parts are easily available.
