CamelCamelCamel just let me know this has dropped to it lowest price.

Wanted to try this for a while, but always felt it was slightly too expensive when compared to similar priced whiskies; at this price however!

Also @ASDA (thanks, alki).

Features:
Matured without chill filtration for a huge peaty punch, this complex whisky is aged in Limousine oak casks. Some taste peat smoke, fresh cinnamon and spicy sea spray, but like any great story, it's all open to interpretation.

Meticulously crafted from a selection of the finest andrarest aged Jura single malt whiskies, Prophecy is aprofoundly peated spirit. Peat smoke, fresh cinnamonand spicy sea spray lead the first assault. Finally the tarrybonfire notes slowly give way to hints of soft liquoriceand nutmeg.Silver Best in Class at the 2009 IWSC awards.

Heavily peated with cinnamon and spicy sea spray.

One of my favourites, had the CCC email too 😁 cheapest ive ever seen at nearly half price. Hope you enjoy it OP!
Lots of reviews saying quite soft for a 46%, so very young Whisky used, not very complex also. Probably why its got no age statement. Great if you like a peaty Whisky, but not fantastic.

So, are you basing your opinion on 'lots of reviews', or is it your actual opinion based on drinking it?

For me: I have enjoyed several bottles of this. It is peated without being phenolic (like a Laphroaig), I find it to be complex, distinct and interesting. As for age: It does not have an age statement, but I believe that this certainly not a young whisky, certainly a mix of 15+ year barrels. Oh, and please note: 'single malt' refers to whiskies from a single distillery ie. most single malts are comprised of whiskies from different barrels.

As for the deal: Smoking hot!!!

I'm not a major fan of peated whisky, but I'm really enjoying the Jura 16 I saw on here at the moment. I generally find what reviewers state it also what I have found or find about a whisky myself when tasting. As for the age, I wouldn't have much of a clue, especially when Jura arftifically colour most if not all of their whisky, that's why I listen to expert in that matter, but if it tastes good to you who cares, I'm just going by the many reviews I've read/seen for this particular bottle because I was thinking of getting it for my dad.
