I'm still umming and arring over this in the last hour.

I've been looking forward to their one day sale since the week of 4k sale week and I'm thoroughly unimpressed. The prices of their box sets are seriously overpriced, making the 30% off in line with what they cost elsewhere.

In fact I've managed to buy cheaper in the last few months from either Zavvi or Amazon.

Star Trek TNG is apparently £80 on Zoom before Code. £56 after. I purchased this on Amazon for £41, and I've seen it drop to £39.99 during one of their Deal of the Day's.

Battlestar Galactica is apparently £40 on Zoom. £28 after. I bought this for £21.59 from Zavvi two weeks before Christmas.

Star Trek TOS is apparently £50 on Zoom. £35 after. It's currently £39.89 on Amazon, and I purchased this from Zavvi for £24.29, again just before Christmas. Quite a few people on here also managed to get it on Amazon's Deal of the Day for £19.99 around the same time (which I missed).

The point I'm trying to make if it's not so clear is that Zoom have really frustrated me. It seems obvious that they're inflating prices before the sale to justify the 30% off deal and it's making me wonder if I should continue shopping with them. I'm always ready to get a decent deal, but when a store inflates prices to figures never seen before to discount them - that irks me.

I still think this Jurassic Park deal is great value for money (if true 4k), and I'll probably end up purchasing, but I'm staying away from their main sale unless someone sees something I've missed.

Just be careful people - what you may think is a good deal might not necessarily be so.

Shame the 10% code doesn't work on this. Anyone know if these are meant to look particularly better than the normal blu rays?

Yeah I tried this before I posted the deal... I think the code won’t work on any item that will be on the 30 May zoom day thing
Bit pricey for me personally. Not bad though, heat from me.

I still think £12.50 for a 4k Steelbooks of my favourite films is a good deal. Heat added, ordered.
Heat added.

The Lost World and Jurassic World are phenomenal in 4K.

Jurassic Park 3 is better but easily the worst of the three picture quality wise. Jurassic Park while a big improvement is still lacking is some areas. The Lost World and Jurassic World are amazing though.

Anyone put off by that awful real or fake site on Jurassic World, needs to rethink how they use that site because it is easily one of the best 4K blu rays available despite being an “upscale” as they word it.

Yeah. I was disappointed too, since usually it works site wide. The odd thing is it says the code has been applied but doesn't take anything off. I got a screen grab of the page saying it had applied and going to see if i can get them to apply it manually for me as i have bought loads from them and it shouldn't really say the coupon has applied when it hasn't. If they won't ill probably just cancel as i do have them all on bluray...
so happy I didn't give in and buy the first 2 when these first got released. 2 crappy freebies now then

LOL @ anyone that dropped £100 on these, Zoom are renowned for this nonsense.

Nobody paid £100 for all these unless they ordered them separately. They were £70 with a £10 off your next 4K film purchase.

Doing the math, as I used my code earlier in the week for one of their £10 offers, I paid £50 on release anyway.
How limited are these? Thinking of holding out till the new one comes out.
Awesome films. Read the books too.
Didn’t get the Jurassic Park films but used the code to get the 4K versions of planet earth 2 and blue planet 2 for £37. Bargain. Thanks.
Hi guys anyone know if these 4k UHD version include the HDR presentation?

If it was obvious to them they wouldn't have asked. I wonder if there was a more polite way you could have responded?

Hopefully Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom will be released in 4k Steelbook
Ordered and heat added, the box set of just the first 3 films in 4K is £50 by itself on Amazon, here you get the fourth film and in a nice steelbook as well

Zoom don't allow offers to stack, so you can't apply a discount if there is already an offer applied. Hence why even if try to use a valid code it won't give you a discount here as there is already a 4 for £50 offer applied.

They are exclusive to Zoom but they clearly over-estimated demand. They were originally on sale for £100 (£90 with the usual 10% off) but cut the price before release to £70 and £10 off a future purchase (you couldn't use a code to reduce the £70 further).

Looks like even with the first price cut they still have too many so cut the price to £50, the same the regular box-set but with only 3 movies goes for. No way to tell how many they still have and how aggressive Zoom will be at trying to sell them off quickly

Why would anyone buy a boxset of a series that is still being made? Itll just look stupid next to the solo movie next year.
Sure, buy the original trilogy set, then the new series set when they are done.

This is not a box set, it's just a deal buying 4 individual steelbook cases. There is not outer sleeve saying boxset etc

Not a Boxset is it though? It’s four individual steelbooks.

It’s a great price for the uhd discs but not sure how I feel about the steelbooks... look a little.. bland.

I also don't like how they changed the film logos to those like Jurassic World instead of using the originals but at £12.50 I can look past that
Ordered .. cheers op ... beenLooking at getting a 4k uhd player soon ..
been looking at Jurassic park blurays anyway
and these have uhd 4k , blue ray and digital download ..should sound great with my sound bar and 5.1 and 7.1 Dolby digital system .. can test them on my 1080p blueray player for now ... looking forward to giving it a try as these were filmed with THX certified ...

Source requested for your first comment, sir/madam.

The only difference between the comments you make on the internet and IRL is the amount of cowardice you can employ in the former. But it still has an effect, on both them and you.

It wasn't my comment my friend... I suggest if it has upset you, you take up with the originator.

I was merely pointing out that people on the internet act like buttholes because they believe the anonymity of it allows them to get away with things they wouldn't dream of doing or saying in real life.

I've read that a couple of times but still can't see you answering my question. Maybe if I go back in just one more time (perhaps like a director trying and failing to make a decent Jurassic Park sequel. Ha!).
