Claim 40% off a kindle book, maybe account specific @ Amazon

If you put kindle books into your Wishlist, Amazon will also regularly email you with 40% discounts specifically for one book in your Wishlist. I get these kind of offers every month.

The link said I got the discount, but when processing in checkout, no discount applied.

Although in a meta sense this was not intended to be used on any Kindle book in the store, although that is neither here nor there, in legal terms, I can confirm that they refunded the £5.20 credit on the £13 book I purchased. (edited)

It didn't apply the discount, it seems that they intended to only apply to the listed books. However, tthe wording clearly states any Kindle books, so I am disputing with customer support.

I was kept waiting for 20 minutes in chat. They ended up refunding me the full incorrect charge.

Bought something on the list but still didnt' get a discount. Not too fussed though as I was after that book anyway and the price was decent.

Just be aware that you may not get the discount.

Finally received my 40% credit a week later.
