My driving test is coming up and I had a tyre which is close to legal requirement of minimum thread depth of 1.6 mm so I decided to change it before the test. I find Just Tyres running BLACK5 5% of any tyres with decent prices from low, mid, and premium range which I compared it with lot of websites and finally booked a 195 45 R16V for 52 pounds including booking and alignment of the tyre.

    Strongly suggest not replacing a single tyre for many reasons (but all of them safety / handling related).
    Mixed brands / uneven wear on the same axle is not a good thing. Get 2 new ones and put them both on the back with your 2 best remaining ones on the front, which will then wear more quickly than the front (assuming FWD) and they repeat once those are worn.

    Agreed with your suggestion. My car will retire in another 1 years time so I risked going for single tyre change.

    Also if you can afford to, dont buy budget tyres for your car. Its the only bit of material touching the road.
