The Everio GZ-MG275 camcorder is a remarkably easy-to-use device. It's equipped with a one-touch record-to-DVD button for quick and easy back ups. You can record up to 50 hours of video onto the 40 GB in-built hard drive. Thanks to its 2-megapixel CCD sensor, this camcorder will give you full, rich details with bright, deep colours. It also comes with a Gigabrid processor and a wide-aperture lens for everyday filming, evenings with friends or those special occasions.

Plus, the GZ-MG275 has a large 2.7" LCD screen and a directional control button for quick and easy access to all of the camcorders functions. I'd be interested in the power up time on this one.

I have the JVC Everio GZ-MC100EK (disk recorder type) & the startup time is 14 seconds (ie from switching it on to being able to record)...which is far too long to capture those kiddie moments about the house. I would never buy another video camcorder without knowing what the startup time is (prefereably about 2-3 seconds max)
