My first post, hope it's okay.

Saw these on the Currys website. They're also available via the 'Reserve and Collect' option. Available in black and blue.

I had a pair of these as back up for my ipod and they're excellent quality.

Might be some out of date stuff due to the site 'upgrade' last month but here's the Newbie thread compiled by Richierea....few pointers on there. The Mods USED to have helpful links as signitures under their posts but this seems to have bitten the dust!!?!?

Nice! I'd get them if I hadnt just bought some slightly better creative ones.

Still, I used to have them and they where nice and well made. And well worth just under a quid!

No, sigs are still on mod posts.

Welcome here si peanuts and ged88

You can check out CHARLIETHIRTYTWO's link or just jump right in and click the red Submit! link in the top left.

Cold!!!! site has no 97p earphones it was playing up, good if it worked........

Emma's post #12 ]HERE wasn't showing any sigs for me using IE & when I checked her profile the links weren't there either.....

Do you want to tell her she's sacked Paul or do you want me to??!?!

Hmmm will check with her if she took hers out. I'm sure I've seen them on mod posts heh

Just bought a pair of £20 sony headphones a couple of weeks back, will go for these as well if the site begins to respond...voted hot in the mean time anyway, good deal assuming there's stock somewhere

No stock anywhere remotely close to me. But worth a try. Sounds similar to PC world

no stock anywhere near wakefield:oops:

no stock near manchester, it' another one of those no stock .97 items

None in stock near me, did manage to reserve a 97p pair of Philip SHE2850's. They'll do as decent spares at that price.

Voted hot.

I've personally voted cold, as it's not in stock anywhere! Has anyone actually found any?

Out of stock everywhere I tried.

Shame as I have a pair of these in pink which are brilliant.

Good price but they don't appear to actually be in stock anywhere!

Banned

None available in a 200 mile radius of me LOL

none within 20Miles of Southampton

None of the 97p headphones available at the nine currys stores near me.

Nope, none in stock in stores in or near Norwich either

Was then about to post the exact same message

None of either 3 97p items.

i tried this hours ago and theres none in birmingham/walsall/wolverhapton

Very slow site tonight.

Stone cold deal - no stock and one of Currys' usual stunts.

the website for Currys is useless, my basket has two items in but cannot view them. I may phone them tomorrow to see if I can reserve for collection in shop, I seem to keep missing deals lately!

got to checkout and guess what - none for miles & miles, in fact none anywhere!

Curry's Dixons and PC World must rank as 3 of the worst on line retailers in my view.

Have these great deals that are either not in stock or you get an email the next day saying that they do not now have the stock available to fulfill your order.

Thanks, reserved a black pair. Will pick up tomorrow

If you want 97p earbuds you'll find them in every Tesco as a regular price item along side the £4.99 ones.

A con I reckon

What store ?

Voted cold as lack of availability.
I noticed these 3 weeks ago - but even then couldn't find a store with stock so didn't post it.
No doubt there will be a few lying around in a store somewhere, so someone may get lucky.

I went in to try and pick up a DVD player i had seen for cheap - when I asked about it the shop assistant informed me that anything ending in 97p was an end of line product and each shop only gets a couple at most to offload ... good deal if you manage to bag it though

as usual no stock of any:x:x of the good deals in south wales

None in a 20 mile radius here either

As someone said, all prices with 97p are clearance. However the stores rarely get stock that is 97p. Basically, every dixons group store gets a price level adjustment form a few times each week. This will highlight the price amendments. Anything that is clearance will be marked down. They wont get more in. Only what they have left.

Remember guys and gals, reserve and collect / collect at stores etc wont allow a reservation if the stock level is below 3. So if you are passing you might be lucky, go in store. These headphones were £19.99 when they came out about a year ago.

Pc world are selling the same thing for £4.98, which is a sale clearance price. Keep your eyes out if you are after some cos they will be down to 97p soon by the looks of things

No stock in either Wakefield, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Bradford or Leeds

I can't believe people think it's a con or a stunt by Currys... Clearance stuff will always be low on stock as they lose money at that price - if they had thousands left they would lost alot of money. It's just a good price to clear out the remainder of the stock - probably 1 or 2 per store.

I was given a pair of these headphones as a secret Santa present last year in work. The sound quality was awful - very muffled and it didn't have any strong area. Compared to my, albeit £15, Sennhesier MX500s they are truly dreadful. I'd say the MX500s are easily 15 times better! If these are still the same model as the pair I got I can't see how they'd be an upgrade over the headphones bundled with any MP3 player. Unless I got a duff pair somehow.

Worth buying as a back-up pair, but that's all in my opinion.

Gotta be the worst deal ever to reach 200+ degrees

Ohhhhh, the torture! I'm currently sitting here at 6am with my JVC Lychee White earphones in that i bought from Amazon UK a few weeks ago, but they don't have any stock of the black ones in, in the 3 nearest stores to me.. booo... i'm going near my local Currys later today, but as they don't have any stock.. meh
