What's so bad about 720p? Excuse my ignorance - any helps appreciated.
Like Blaupunkt, Polaroid, etc.
Actually, 720p on a 32'' screen is not bad at normal viewing distances. Of course, if you want to use this TV as a monitor that's a different story.
If you don't know the difference, then this TV would be perfect for you. Decent size at a good price with USB input for photos, videos, music.
720p TV means 720 rows/lines of information can be shown on the screen.
1080p TV has 1080 rows/lines which can show more details.
4k TV has 2160 rows/lines which can show even more details.
There are more variables but that's the basics!
To be honest on a 32" screen you probably wouldn't notice the difference between 720p and 1080p.
Why would you want to watch TV in the kitchen? Do you not have a living room?
Well we have a kitchen table and watch TV while we eat, it's what posh people do you see
The [higher specced] JVC model still 720p but has smart tv integrated as well as freeview HD tuner was £219, now save £20 at £199.
This one, was £250, save £100.
So why was this one £30 more than the higher specced model at its maximum price I wonder.
Would you have the same perception if I said I wanted it for the bedroom? Some people like to have televisions in different rooms and that doesn't mean they don't have a kitchen or bedroom.
This TV was originally priced at £179 not the £249 rubbish Currys state.
JVC "hire" the brand to different companies, most JVC branded devices in the UK are not JVC made at all.
We have a JVC from Currys, not the same size but guessing by the numbers the same years range. Its perfectly fine for what it is, is it the best TV in the world, no, its designed to a price point, and Yes is a Vestrel rebadge (as are a lot of the low end TV's as Vestrel as they are reported to make about 20% off all TV's soled in Europe) , but its fine for TV in the kitchen when we eat in there.
If your focused on price consider Aldi/Lidl too
WOW. why would anyone want to watch more tv?? The mind boggles. One of the best ways to keep people in control and as sheep
I think that goes beyond the scope and remit of HUKD to be honest but sure, lets call it a conspiracy rather than people just wanting a choice as to where they can watch their TV
For the bats eh? so considerate
I would almost guarantee is has been on sale at £249 in a PCWorld / Currys store somewhere for a preiod, its called price establishment stock, and even though they may have only had a few units at the at price and may never have sold a single one as they were overpriced, it allows them to make that saving claim.
Its entirely possible that this is the "normal" price, the higher price is a way to legally advertise it as reduced despite the fact they never intended to sell many at the higher price.
Not at all. My point was why would anyone want too watch so much TV or even give themselves an option to. I eat food in my kitchen and sleep or have sex in the bedroom. Why waste your life watching tv. Doesn't make sense to me
Don't buy the TV then matey :-)
It's not really about watching more tv, but about having the flexibility to watch what you want where you want. You might think someone's wasting their life watching tv, but you don't know their circumstances - what you enjoy doing, others might see as incredibly boring. Thank goodness we're not all the same.
