Just seen this on TV, looks a great deal for a moderately spec'd TV.

Yeah, it's not really JVC, but for the price, what's it matter? Looks very UMC to me.

For a TV capable of meeting your everyday needs, consider the JVC LT-32C360 32" LED TV.

HD Ready

The 32" screen offers a 1366 x 768 HD resolution for enjoyable visual quality. With a clear LED screen providing a brighter display and good contrast levels, you can watch your favourite TV shows and films without straining your eyes.

To enhance the audio, the LT-32C360 also features DTS Trusurround to ensure your ears are as entertained as your eyes.

Freeview

Featuring a built in Freeview tuner, the 32C360 offers you full access to over 60 digital channels and over 25 radio stations, enhancing your entertainment options and offering you the opportunity to discover new shows.

Connections

With plenty of connection options available, the C360 is a versatile addition to your entertainment setup. It boasts three HDMI connections (one of which is ARC compatible) as well as SCART and SVGA inputs to allow you to connect the TV to a PC or laptop.

There is also a USB 2.0 port, offering you the opportunity to record and playback live TV using a USB storage device (sold separately).

Capable of being wall mounted (kit sold separately) and offering quality entertainment options, the JVC LT-32C360 32" LED TV is an ideal choice for those seeking simple entertainment.

Looks more like UMC to me, but still a great budget TV.

UMC are behind all of the Sharp TVs we see these days.

I don't think they are connected in any real way, UMC are a Slovakian TV maker, Vestel is Turkish, the common theme they share is that they make many TV's under other well known brands..... and they're both budget models makers.

I bought a 32" technica from Tesco. It's the same panel as the JVC and UMC and Blackpunt. Just needed to tweek the picture settings slightly

It's an awful deal in my opinion HD ready in 2016 is just poor for whatever price... Every TV should be at least 1080p now as standard 4K is what people should be buying 2017 onwards.

The tuner is not a high definition tuner therefore it is not capable of receiving the full Freeview service. it may be cheap but it is also obsolete and within a few years will need a set top to get the full range of channels.

Just because it's not suitable for you doesn't make it a poor deal.

I know a lot of people that watch nothing other than DVDs and standard DVB-T, what use would a higher resolution panel be for them?

It's an LED TV for less than half the price that 32" CRTs ever got to!

if anyone is interested, it says made in China on the box

Bit of a strange one this, Googled the part number and found reference to Haier, doesn't look like the typical Haier chassis though.

What a silly comment, technology improves over time just as people don't know the term "HD" is a marketing gimmick, you had "HD" monitors in the 90s even in the 80s pcs were sold as "high definintion" as the term changes over time.

I still see people use things like dvds or even the ones that do use HD its 720p like NOWtv, Sky people just assume something connected to a hdtv is automatically HD.

People are basically sheep, I got a HD tv in 2005 and everyone was telling me its not worth it to upgrade as they can't see a difference in fact most people I saw were using composite rather than rgb scart and theres even a few people do that nowadays with hdtvs.

Nowadays people complain that their phone is isnt 1080p

You sound like the generic consumer i.e a sheep who believes everything they are told about the latest tech making anything else useless.

Still rocking my 50 year old speakers here that make any sound bar I hear sound awful, using my crt for a main tv as everything looks great on it and it has built in 5.1 that is so good even at very low volume my neighbours hear it.
