Retailers are putting 40" 4K TVs on sale or 49" Full HD TVs on sale, but not any 40" Full HD TVs on sale?!
All I want is a 40" FHD TV for a decent price (around £130)
This is so frustrating for me lol. I guess I'm going to have to wait for the Boxing Day sales & January sales!

Helpful. It was a genuine question - not everyone is a tech guru!
Wait .... so you are saying that this and argos.co.uk/pro…010 are practically the SAME TV ?

Apologies, I thought you were being sarcastic. HDR is a technology only found on high end 4K televisions.
DYOR
Pretty much, yes. They're both made by Vestel (check the photos, you'll see similarities in the shape and the legs are the same (albeit different colours!)).

Check the location of the USB and HDMI port.
The JVC has a sleeker design, and 2w (wow!) more powerful speakers, but other than that the only differences are 2 HDMI ports and a slightly different UI design (for the same underlying system). The panels are the same, the bush just has less connectivity (and is thus cheaper).
This is the type of thing I am looking for too... spent hours researching now just waiting for the clock to hit midnight and hope for best...
BTW... do black friday deals tend to be cheaper in store than online? Wondering why people bother going in store risking a punch up *genuine question as I'm thinking I might have to go inshore tomorrow AM for a TV?

I got a HDR bravia off amazon warehouse in the end for £330 (after discounts etc...some dead pixels) its 49" and I have a PS4 Pro and the majority of games don't support HDR. However, the games I have tried at 4K look phenomenal and there are only a few that support HDR at the moment so I don't even know if HDR is worth the fuss at the moment.
I would also say that 40" is too small to notice 4K if you're sat fairly far away from the TV. 50" is about the right size.
Basically use the same panel, quite often different makes of TV will use the same panel as each other.
Let me know if you find a deal on a 40" Full HD TV. I'm still looking.
I'm so tempted to just buy the 49" Sharp from Tesco for £199, because of the lack of 40" TVs on sale, but I really don't need a TV of that size in my bedroom - even though that is a real bargain.
Did you read this back, before posting?
Sachi ... same here
