Yes it's not a real JVC hence cheap price think it's made by same company as finlux ?

some stores do not have this in stock as i was going to do that but had to order online as the nearest store that had it in stock is 80 miles ago so i would of ended up spending more in diesel to get it.ordered this last night for delivery on tuesday hopefully it will be a good enough buy.

will this work as a monitor

Jynx, over £20 to go 80 miles? What are you driving, the space shuttle Atlantis?

Not for Europe?

Great TV if you want it for just watching TV, 50hz hurts gaming though and will look horrible on fast paced games and such. 42" TV's are very cheap these days, I'd spend £50+ more for 60hz.

Still recall when JVC sponsored Arsenal!

If anyone can remember this far back ....I managed to get one of these .....totally amazed when Next phoned me up ..(thought he we go misprice)....but NO when do you want it delivered......My mum has it Sitting in the care home shes in now and even now some of the carers admire the picture Quality......Now taking into account this was over 4 years ago...I dunno if its by JVC or not now ....but its still a corking good picture and sound (without soundbar ..and my mums really deaf).....just saying ...you takes your chances.....;)

Doesn't say be great if it had Freeview hd built in ???

Out of interest, what happened to JVC? They used to be a major player in electronics not so long ago. It annoys me when once great brands turn bad.....One that comes to mind is Grundig, think Toshiba is the same now.

Are JVC tellies Vestel sets?

Cracking story cheers mate. It gripped me at the first word and didn't let go til the last. Had everything, murder, mystery, romance, intrigue, and a twist right at the end there.

Brilliant.

What are you talking about??? You do realise that it doesn't work like that right? 50hz TV's play 60hz signals no problem. You have confused panel refresh rates with signal frequencies.

I suspect this does 60Hz just fine, nearly all TV's made in the last 20 years for the European market do 60Hz. It likely states 50Hz as that's what European TV broadcasts at.

Don't believe all the 100/200/600/10,000Hz marketing bull plop. It's how well the TV resolves the image and that doesn't come down to the Hertz it can produce. With TV broadcasts a crappy 100Hz TV won't give better pictures than a decent 50Hz TV...

Now for computer resolutions then 60Hz is really essential for not suffering headaches, seizures etc

I'm surprised someone didnt give off to you about that comment.

Though I still find it funny, and I'm sure Loughboro Guy also finds its funny, it's his 15 mins of fame lasting a lot longer now (must be 3 years or more from the original)
