Getting cold but nobody gives any arguments why this is not a good deal.

Vestel, flimsy, screen rattling, mine broke within the first month, switches itself on or off, YouTube freezes, when frozen, you do not have a physical button so you have to unplug it. Toshiba is the same quality. Cheap, but not worth the price.

I could be comparing apples to oranges as they are different sizes, but the Costco Hisense deal is £270 for a 50 inch with 5 year warranty.

Can't seem to see anything regarding the warranty on this, so i'd imagine its only 12 months? Even with a 5 year warranty i'd be hesitant about buying a JVC TV. Saying that It does seem to have decent reviews tho...

Yes, it is comparing apples to oranges, if you have no space, or you want a small tv in a study or kids room, a 50 inch will not help. I was after a 32 inch and got lots of comments about bigger and cheaper TVs, this didn't help me. Sadly, the 32 inch TVs are quite expensive or the same price if we compare with bigger TVs.
I can't say Hisense is better, but yes, longer warranty and very good price for 50 inch, however, I am pretty sure most people who want a big TV as their main TV, will pay more and get a better one. In the same time, is good to have a variety of prices.

Yeah, its got to be pretty annoying seeing bigger TVs for the same price or cheaper.
