only when it's switched off!

I've got the 50" version of this TV. The speakers are really bad, I've got a surround sound system so I'm OK, but if you do not have any additional speakers lying around I'd seriously consider getting some.

not keen on any tv with joke warranties...

FYI: Vestel makes excellent TVs. I have the 50 inch and it is excellent TV for the price paid.

I wonder if you'll still be saying that when your TVs 2 years old (_;)

How did you cope before 100hz+ became popular/ standard ?

oh yes - best buy online and not instore and you should be protected.

If you buy it online you will be able to return it under the distance selling laws and 'should' have no problems.
If you go instore to buy it you will hate currys/pc world for the rest of your life and always regret buying from them.

well this is buy in store only

Mine says it was made in Poland but who by? Important bug in the firmware when timeshifting live TV means you can't make the on screen display go away. Curry's (don't)knowhow.com support were typically useless and unprepared to escalate the issue.
The out-of-the-box colour balance was also terrible. Everything pink but I was able to fix it with the colour temperature and picture settings.
With a firmware fix and a NowTV box with the Plex client installed it makes a respectable value smart TV package. Presently £329 online at Currys.co.uk
Anyone know where to get updated firmware?
