Is Dolby Atmos actually possible on a 2.1?

Yeah. Just like 5.1 sound is on a mono TV speaker

I have two jvc soundbars. I can't rate them high enough. You get a lot for the money and both are still working great.

No. Its a joke that they advertise it as this. But most new tvs say their built in speakers give atmos. Very bizarre. I have an atmos 5.4.1 setup (standard 5.1 surround sound plus 4 overhead speakers). Some speakers can create the effect of thisnbybhaving seperate channels built in which are aimed to "bounce" of the ceiling, but it is not as effective. So definitely not in this 1 unit
Gotta say when connected pc pc or firestick the sound is amazing..and displays Atmos..so this is a real bargain
They mean it decodes it. Obviously it downsamples it to 2.1.
Bought this last week, not had a sound bar before but massive improvement on the TV sound, good value
Prefer smaller 59 quid one..
How does this compare to the JBL Studio soundbar also hot...?
Is this better than a Sony htsf150?

Also, would I be able to change its sound volume with my TV remote? The only ARC port seems to be the hdmi out one. I have a PS4 and 4K Blu ray player so I would need to connect those to the soundbar and then the soundbar to the TV?

I have a JVC one. I connect the soundbar to the HDMI ARC on the TV and then the PS4 etc to the TV itself. So no need to connect them to the soundbar. Plus with using ARC I can control sound through my TV remote and also my cable remote.
