Kamado Joe - Big Joe £1499 @ garden4less

Still way overpriced

The Aldi Kamado for £399 was great but after the ceramic cracked after a year of use I thought to myself if I get the same one I could be left with a expensive paperweight once the 3 year warranty runs out. Not sure the extra £1100 will give me better tasting food but the life time warranty and the better build quality gives me peace of mind. Also the 24 inch grill space compared to the 16 inch on the ALDI Kamado is great. Let me know any cheaper alternatives anyone thinks is good.

About the best price around at the moment. I have the Classic II which I picked up for about £700 last September. The Big Joe was briefly £1000 back then (House of Fraser) but they went in a flash. I love my classic and use it regularly, even for cooking the Sunday roast. Would I go for the Big Joe? In hindsight, probably. More room vertically for the double indirect method (watch Smoking Dad BBQ on YouTube), more room horizontally for larger joints. But I’m hugely into my cooking, both outdoors and in. This is a massive outlay, but the quality is obvious when you use it. I definitely don’t regret getting mine.
