This is also a heads up as well as what I believe the best value light weight airline approved hand luggage suitcase. £9.95 plus £5.95 postage (same shipping for 2 cases)

We're travelling to Fuerteventuraat the end of Feb with Ryanair. After reading their ultra strict policies on overweight and oversized hand luggage, I decided to look for a lightweight and correctly sized suitcase (within 55x40x20) each for myself and my wife. Essentially the cost of two bags needed to be less than paying the minimum penalty which is £50 for oversized bags that are placed into the hold. Overweight bags are charged at £10 per KG therefore limiting the weight was also paramount.

After searching for some time, I came across Karabar which offer 1.5KG suitcases for £9.95 with a £5.95 shipping cost. Split this between two suitcases, the final bill was only £25.85 which isn't bad considering the MSRP price of these are around £50.

The reviews are good suggesting it does the job well and withstands travel but don't expect Samsonite quality.

I was going to take my hard case but after reading how strict Ryanair was, I figured for £26 we were better off than taking the risk of being penalised at check in.

Don't forget to take your second bag 35 x 20 x 20 cm and load your pockets with anything heavy.

I have one of these carry on cases and it is brilliant, have used it on numerous Ryanair flights no problem.

If Ryanair approve it then it must be good

Anyone found a lightweight 35*20*20 bag?

Carrier bag?

looks like a great. case for the money. but too big for easyjet (50x40x20) heat anyway

Their maximum is 56 x 45 x 25cm, yes it's a bit lower if you want it guaranteed that it will stay as hand luggage, but worth the risk maybe?

How about this ? 2 Ryanair approved 40 litre cases for £13.34 including delivery.

That seems too good to be true & description on Amazon is a bit ambiguous as to whether it really is actually two bags. Have taken the plunge & ordered anyway. Will report back once delivered.

They are probably going cheap because airlines are soon to change the dimensions and weight of carry on cabin luggage regulations.

I think you'll only end up with one case not two if you read the description again. Still a good price for one though (_;)

I've never had Ryan air actually weigh the bag, they only do that if it looks a little too heavy or looks to large otherwise they don't have the time

Your case fits but your flights been cancelled tough, make your own way home

Only PLUM colour and definitely one piece for price!

I have travelled several times on ryanair without a problem. we travel as a family of four and I have 4 small dunlop suitcases that are available from sports direct. decent quality and are roughly 6 pounds each.

I ordered it too. Hope it is 2 cases. Says Ryanair in the title so assume it is OK for Ryanair. Will see what arrives.

So someone on the internet says something and that means you don't have to check for yourself? Interesting.

My partner went to order me a new hold all from Swiss gear and she was told the line had been discontinued because the airlines were due to be changing their baggage sizes.

Omg, this is what I've been looking for! A bag within Ryanair's dimensions that has wheels as well as can be used as a back pack. I think what they meant to say is 2 in 1. Not a bad price. Thanks!

Good price from Amazon but 0.95 cheaper here hotukdeals
