Not very powerful compared to the rest of the range or to similar range models from rival brands such as the Bosch aqt 35-12.
But at this price this is a bargain.

Are pressure washers really bad for cars paintwork? I just bought a brand new BMW so need a bit of advice

I've got this one. Its a nice machine for the money, but not that powerful. Fine for washing the car but I found it a bit weak for much else like cleaning patio slabs

You'll be fine.
The low end models like this one are not that powerful so won't be doing any damage to a car with quality paintwork like a BMW.
I believe (don't quote me) that the higher end models come with adjustable pressure wands, so again you're probably alright so long as you use the right wand or setting.

Thanks OP. heat added and order placed for c&c. hope this model will suffice for basic patio cleaning. My old model leaks and is too heavy.

Nice One OP. Heat added

Hot! Don't need one but tempted.

Seems the revies on tesco say the hose is quite short, this is a concern for me, can anyone advise?

it is quite short. I have to pick the washer up and carry out around the car to wash properly

£450, not exactly the same price range =/

I bought one in March, paid slightly more. Did a great job on my mother's garden slabs. It seems to be well made, is light andportable. My only gripe is that is has no wheels. Bargain for the money though.

Cracking deal

Got one free a couple of months ago with coop house insurance. Crazy deal, the house insurance was only £140.... Didn't realise I needed a pressure washer until it arrived and now I pressure wash everything in sight. I think you need to be careful washing car wheels though, possible to make a hole in the tyre...

got this last year and it's absolutely amazing. Needed it to clean paving stones and they look like new! would highly recommend this to anyone needing a pressure washer

Cracking deal

Nope its splashing deal

Picked mine up for around 30 from amazon but well worth 50. Karcher even gave me a bunch of free attachments because an unsmoothed bit of plastic on the trigger was giving me blisters.

Pay more and get a full kit with all the bits. I got a K2 for £27 clearance in Tesco and have spent a fortune getting a longer hose (essential), alloy brush, patio cleaner. It's cheaper if you get one of the kits with all the bits in already

The K4 model (130bar) is also reduced, now it's £142.00. Has anyone had any experience with both models, is the extra £93 worth it for the higher model?

This K2 unit seems impressive at this price as it knocks out 110bar.

I wouldn't, its water under pressure, I dont know how powerful this is but mine wasn't too powerful and it could still cut into the surface of concrete with the smallest jet so it can do a lot of damage if used incorrectly. However, if you did use it, don't put the wand too close to the paint and use a spread spray as opposed to the concentrated jet

Thats a fantastic price. Our old washer, similar to the one on sale for £73, came back wrecked after being loaned out. I've been told replacing the cylinder head should fix it, but I have no idea what would be involved in doing the repair and it either mightn't be the cylinder head, or I might balls up the repair. So £49 is a small price to pay for replacing it. I already have all the parts included with the £85 set. And if I can mount this one on the old trolley stand as well, it'll be a major plus.

Unless you have bubble rust patches, or damaged paintwork, you're not likely to have a problem. I wouldn't expect a brand new BMW to suffer from either. And if you get the £49 model you can use the cash you might've spent on a more expensive model on a set of indicators X)
