I realise this isn't as good as the recent Wickes deal but I missed that and this is the best price I can find right now by a good margin. Next cheapest seems to be Amazon at around £212. Hopefully it helps someone else!

Such a shame that great brands become mediocre due to mass marketing.
I had an old Karcher jet washer that lasted me 12 years of constant high power user, then when it finally gave up on me I replaced it with a K2 that only managed to last 5 months of very mild use (car washing).
Part of me wishes we'd all boycott these well known brands for their current day poor quality, until they return to the quality they originally became famous for, or move to better brands.
That whinge over... can anyone suggest a decent brand other than Karcher to try?

Interesting. This is the first power washer I've bought and had hoped it was primarily the K2 that was unreliable and from what I'd read the K4 and above might be better. Time will tell for me at least!

Well the K2 is the Uber budget air cooled - those are meant for very very light use vs k4 water cooled with a lot better spec

I also have a trusty 20 year old karcher working fine but upgraded to k4 water cooled a couple of years ago and WOW what a difference.

Karcher customer service for me when used with other items has been positive.

It’s like comparing a Dacia to a Renault f1 car same company different brand etc
To be fair this is one of Karcher's better models (the lower the number the lower the quality). When you get onto brass pump heads and ceramic coated pistons you are starting to get into pro territory. If you want the best then try these folk interpump.co.uk

I guess that's true. As a business I suppose they have to cater to varying levels of the mass market.
I'll just have to take a chance and try a higher level Karcher like the K4, and hope it's like the Karchers of old.
Thanks for the input
The advert on TV on for this puts me off; I don't want to have to go abseiling just to have to use it..
Thanks for sharing op.....

Stihl. They're more expensive (decent ones start about 250ish) but worth it for peace of mind and it will last a long time (think years of doing patios front to back).

Smith's hire shops use them and they don't lend tat out.

£150 at screwfix

I believe that is for the washer alone but this comes with extras such as the patio cleaner which I think is worth about £45 on its own.

Doesn't look like many people are interested in this deal but for what it's worth Amazon have price matched and are actually doing the premium for the same price.

Not sure if there's any difference spec wise (nothing immediately apparent, I'll need to look in more detail) but at the very least it's a 5 year warranty rather than 3. Cheapest price on Amazon yet.

I'm cancelling my JL order and going for this one instead amazon.co.uk/dp/…TZG
You do realise this is amazon for standalone for£170. Scroll across to version with brush and detergent is over £200+

Your better off with Screwfix offer of £150

it says stand alone but when you read the description it comes with the bits and pieces the JL version did including the patio cleaner etc. That said, JL has now raised the price again and therefore so have Amazon so just like that the premium is now up to around £230!
