I’d probably just buy the aldi/workzone ones that are available again at Aldi stores for £79.99,they are similar specs, but not similar cost
K5 X is not listed on Karcher website. Is this a unique model for Wickes?
This was £168.30 on 30th March (deal on Hotukdeals) so this is cold I am afraid

Still the best price for a Karcher K5 at the moment. I think the earlier price had a 15% discount code/coupon valid for a weekend applied to the price to get it down that low.

Not a true comparison on specs, but the Aldi one does look good for the money especially as it includes a 3 year warranty.
Can you get accessories to fit the Aldi model though? I use the Karcher patio cleaner quite a lot which was bundled with my k5.8

People come out with the same Aldi thing on every karcher deal. No point explaining the difference they'll just ignore it and it will be posted again on the next karcher deal.
Aldi are selling the karcher k4 compact for £179 it comes with the patio cleaner attachment

That there is little point telling someone it isn't a true comparison.
I have this X range Power Washer, it does a great job,
So what’s the difference with the X range? Specs look the same I think to the normal K5
Bought this yest for £198 and worth every penny.

Had my "PowerCraft" pressure washer one for well over 7 years and it's still going strong (touch wood).

In fact, just found the receipt and I actually purchased it April 5th 2009. Jees, how time flies!

The original thread isHERE.

It was said at the time (elsewhere) to be be a re-branded older Karcher model with metal impeller as opposed to cheaper plastic which can crack over winter if water is not fully drained before storing over the colder months.

The only downside to the "PowerCraft" pressure washer I found was that despite the attachments being quite good, they were not interchangeable with proper Karcher branded attachments. Proper Karcher attachments could be used, but had to be "modified" to fit the "PowerCraft" lance.☹

Anyhoo, a couple of years ago, I bought a proper Karcher Quick release fitting, which just screwed onto the ""PowerCraft" pressure washer and new, longer Karcher hose/lance and multi-jet nozzle and it's now even better than it was before.

Thanks for your post but... let me get this straight. The Aldi one if better because it has a metal hose... but you now have a plastic Karcher hose/lance (which could crack over winter)?

let me get this straight.

Not exactly.

The "PowerCraft" pressure washer I got in 2009 (not "WorkZone" as I earlier stated) apparently has a"Metal Impeller" (the rotating part of the centrifugal pump designed to move a fluid by rotation), not a metal hose.

Apologies for the confusion!:/

Some cheaper, non-Karcher pressure washers will have plastic plastic impellers as far as I'm aware, which CAN crack if not drained properly and stored over winter in the shed, garage etc.

I dare say most, if not all Karcher pressure washers will have metal impellers.

It was the original attachments that after 6-7 years of use I "upgraded" to the Karcher versions.

All I was trying to say is that the Aldi pressure washers are well worth the price if they last as long as mine which was bought April 5th 2009 (just found receipt).

Is that straight enough for ya!(highfive)
Picked one up today from Blackpool store. Used trade discount and works scheme so got it for a bargain price
Thanks OP.

With all due respect but it's also the brand alone turns me off I'm sorry not being a brand snob but rather a decent make one and that comes with three years Warrenty. Also what Spec advantages does this have over the one I mentioned? Mine came with four additional add ons u see

Fair enough. Yes I have read a little more since I left that ill informed comment of mine. The only negatives I can see on the aldi one r people who are kicking off because their work zone tools don't fit them.

I couldn't find the wattage on the aldi one. I know the spear and Jackson one I have is 1400w what's the aldi one please?

I've heard they are decent but don't really compare to the water cooler karchers. I got a K4 full control for £135 so not really that much more than an Aldi version.

Sounds good. I went for tht spear and Jackson 1400w one only used once but cannot complain it's very good. Sony know if spear and Jackson have plastic or metal propellers that everyone is talking about?
