Mike Cashley's fake RRP pricing strikes again!
Sorry, thought was a good deal at this price. Are the boots still overpriced?

Fair enought then. You live and learn eh?!
Picked up a pair of these in Sportsdirect a couple of years back and they are a fine pair of boots.
Only Karrimor in name now, not in quality. Grossly overinflated RRPs. As aabarcellos states, I remember the Accrington warehouse shutting down 6yrs or so ago and the stuff they were selling off then ie walking boots, jacket, tent etc I still have. The Karrimor footwear bought from Sports Direct on three occasions in the last 3yrs have all wore out prematurely on the soles and lost their waterproofing early on.
The infamous inflated RRPs have struck again, they have a winner. Never sold at the RRP

But are these the Sportsdirect "fakes"? I thought there was a part of Karrimor that sold "proper" boots that wasn't tied to the Fatman's empire. These are sold by Amazon luckily not Sportsdirect (or Field and Trek or Sports World or Sports Soccer or Giles Sport or Hargreaves or Lillywhites or DiSport, the other disguises).

Is Dragonfly Venture connected to Sportsdirect (just in case anyone knows).

Mike Cashley owns the Karrimor brand now. So, all Karrimor products are now overpriced and of poor quality (wherever you purchase them).

For a basic, full leather hiking boot you can't go wrong at this price. Their not gonna be a patch on my £165 Meindls but would do the job for most people.
I have bought a selection of Karrimor trainers, shoes and boots from Sports Direct and I don't bother anymore, they are generally sh###...... poor. The soles wear out fast and there are major sizing and labeling issues, continental/uk/american sizes, one of the reasons I have bought a lot is beceuse of many being returned because they were not the size labelled.
