Comfortable, waterproof and at £20 grab yourself a bargain.Dry feet are comfortable feet
Karrimor use waterproof, breathable membranes in its footwear to keep water from entering whilst allowing water vapour (sweat) to escape. Even while sitting still over eight hours, your feet will sweat the equivalent to one-quarter cup of water. Even during gentle exercise, this can be greatly increased. Wet feet blister, and feel cold and uncomfortable. The membranes Karrimor uses, allow water vapour to escape, leaving feet dry and comfortable.

Not even the same brand any more, bought out by a company who make cheap substandard equivalents. Lots said on this matter in previous Karrimor / Sports Direct posts...

Agree, they used to be good but are rubbish now. Probably got 5 stars as people dont really want them for proper walking just taking the dog over the field or something!!?

I've had my pair of Karrimor's for around 12 months now, paid £69 for them from milletts, and they look brand new still. no stains, no wear showing on the soles, and I don't drive, so I walk everywhere.Probably around 7-10 miles daily. Would say thats fairly good value.

I bought these on Monday, but it hasn't rained yet, so still trying to test the effectivness of the waterproofing, but they are comfortable.
I cycle 5 miles to work and got tired of drenched feet, so these are my best, cheap solution. with cycling the sole should last a while hopefully.
They also come in a box with sports direct and i had a free giant Sports Direct mug in it as well.

I am using them. Dont know how much I paid at that time at amazon. Used it many time in rain and its excellent. Its very good.

How are the karrimor sizes ?

I usually wear size 9, but when I bought a pair of Cotton Trader boots a few years ago, 9 were far too small. Luckily that was in the local retail store

I don't want to make the same mistake when ordering online if Karimor are on the small side

thanks !

i've got this and its amazing considering the price and the price of the others...its water proof to an extent but takes a while to dry when it gets wet! my advice..i survived Betws-y-Coed because of this

GREAT! , been looking for boots that come in sizes for dogs for ages

Thanks, ordered a pair.

Agh. £20 for my size in 'Gunsmoke', but £30 in Black

The pair I ordered fitted perfect, I am a size 7, but i have wide feet, and was worried that they might not fit, but they are snug as a bug!

Nice comfortable lightweight boot - wouldn't take them out on the peaks but for walking the dog, messing about on fells they are ok.

Never worth £75rrp but for £20-£30 worth a punt.

Paid £12 from sports direct a few months ago

I got these as an Xmas present last year. Have to say they're pretty good.

Heat added.

How in the world does that benefit any of us looking on here? Do you suggest we go back in time and purchase them for the future? Useless post.

Are these any good for wide feet?

You could maybe just keep an eye on Sports Direct. They might repeat the offer.
It also sets the scene that many people might be reducing this item, maybe it's "end of life" and everyone wants rid of them. So you might be better off ignoring this deal and waiting for a better one, if you have that luxury. Of course if you want a boot now you can't.

It certainly made me think twice about buying them, I now expect they'll be on a Go Outdoors discount list sometime soon. Then I can go in and try them on and check the fit before buying. (Which is worth an extra tenner or so to me when buying footwear. I'd rather pay more to be right first time than have the hassle of sending them back)

Nice, ordered a pair for the coming months ahead. Cheers

I bought a pair for £25 from TK Maxx, and I thought that was a good price. Heat added!

I have wide feet and these fitted fine.

Got a pair of these in the summer from Sports Direct for doing the WHW, cracking pair of boots if your wanting something cheap. I noticed that most of the sizes for the Black ones are £30 on Amazon, the exact same price as they are in Sports Direct here sportsdirect.com/kar…053 so would be worth going in and trying them on first. If you are looking for the brown ones, then this is a hot deal!

And how did your hissy fit benefit anyone?

I benefited from it and i know they're genuinely cheap rubbish as I suspected.

Off to Sports Direct to look for a bargain..........

I work in a breakers and am on my second pair of steel toe cap Karimoor work boots in 3 years. Another of my colleagues wears Karimoor work boots. These are great boots, very durable, built to last.

Like previous people have posted, it makes you think that other places are doing them cheaper so shop around. I bought mine when it was summer, looking to buy trainers in the next few months. Better shop for the out of season bargains an store them. Obviously the boots are slightly more expensive now because its getting cold an people are looking to keep there toes warm

Forgive my ignorance but will they also be suitable for walking in snow

@hello1: light walking? Maybe. But they won't really be properly waterproof, just water resistant, so in typical UK conditions (air temperature often > 0 in daytime even in winter) the snow will melt & you'll get wet feet.

thanks pharm I think i will pass on these i was looking for something cheap for walking in snow when it slippery (ice) last year I slip a few times!!

It gives a fair indication of the quality of these boots. Helpful post.

I posted a deal for waterproof hitec children's walking boots earlier, so if you're looking for some for the family, or you have small feet (up to size 6), those might be of interest:

hotukdeals.com/dea…533

Needed a new pair of comfy shoes, I tend to walk quite a bit so hot from me!

this has been this price since it was posted before, moderators on this site are so biased
