i hate it when I see people wearing these types of shoes/boots as normal shoes out in town or around the office. Really winds me up for some reason!

I dont trust the rrps at sportsdirect as they always seem to have '70% off', but the cheapest ive seen these are £30, so at £18 they are an absolute bargain

Karrimor products have been crap ever since Sports Direct bought them. They used to be good and SD are relying on the past reputation of the brand to drive sales. False economy in my opinion as the last pair of Karrimor shoes I bought fell apart within 6 months with only light use....

I must admit I'm guilty of being a "woman in comfortable shoes" (though not sexuality-wise, as the Viz definition!). But, in my defence, I do actually walk for miles with them on.

I did ask about Karrimor/Sports Direct when there was a vastly-reduced pair on Amazon.co.uk. Someone said it's just the "cheapies" to avoid and the more technical gear is still good? Might be wrong though.

My partner has a year old pair of Karrimor boots that have vibram soles and they've been very good. On the other hand I bought some Karrimor shoes and they fell apart within a year so quality seems to be mixed.

I thought Vibram soles were unique to Merril shoes?

Nope, I've got a pair of Karrimor boots with Vibram soles as well. Very good they are too.
