Karrimor Taurus 20L Rucksack Amazon Add On item £5.15

Now up to £5.15 from £3.88 still cheaper than last time.

OK it is Karrimor and most people know it's not the quality of old, but at this price it is worth a punt if you are buying other stuff. Couple of quid cheaper than it's last appearance on HUKD until it went up.

OK looks like the price has gone - remains to be seen if the 'cheap tat' comments are true. But to be honest if the Karrimor of old had survived you would be looking at £40 in the sale for a similar sized bag.

I got one last year for just over a fiver off Amazon and I use it almost daily daily. I am usually one of the first to knock Sports Direct and the way they have ruined some good brands. But I can tell you this bag has lasted me the past year and it has carried some very heavy stuff in it on an almost daily basis.

An absolute bargain.

Best buy one quickly then
I still use my very first rucksack - a Karrimor - to carry my garden tools in now.

Its nearly FORTY years old and the damn thing won't wear out!
Have one in my basket @ £3.88, and it seems to be letting me purchase at that price....... still on the fence though

Hang on to it and don't upgrade to a new one from the "same" brand now.

So many established brands from decades ago are now stuck on to pile 'em high and sell 'em cheap products sourced from the far east. Sports Direct is particularly adept at this (Dunlop, Slazenger, Karrimor.....I could go on).

The name is the same but the product is not but - of course - the price reflects that.

From my own experience, all I can say it don't put too many items into a "new" Karrimor bag (surely the point) as the straps will snap off. But others have been able to keep theirs going.

I took mine up mon blanc...kept my steak bake nice and warm too
Heat added. At this price, this has got to be better than other non-established brands in the same range
The karrimoor rucksack I owned a couple of years ago was crap .It split next to the zips .Zips stopped working .Put me off karrimor for life .I understand they used to be a very good make. The one I had was terrible .I used it twice a week as well !
How can I purchase this item on its own from Amazon for this price....

It keeps telling me it is an "Add On Item" and I must purchase other items before I am eligible to buy the bag.

Not any more, it used to be a very good outdoor (hiking, mountaineering) brand, but it is now just cheap tat since Sports Direct took over the name. However, this bag is great for the price. I only cycle at the moment and purchase goods daily for my business. I fill this bag up to the brim and cycle a good 10 mile round trip some days to purchase goods.

Bag is still as good as new and has had a lot of weight in over the past year.

You've answered your own question. If you don't want to buy anything else (there must be something Amazon sells you can buy, though), then you can buy something that's on pre-order, or has as long lead in delivery time, then once the bag is dispatched, cancel the other item.
What's the pre order trick?

Thanks. Perfect for daily use on hols with the kids. If it lasts a year I'll be happy. It's only a fiver so can't go wrong really.
Excellent find. Super Hotty for me.

cheap tat
Echo the comments regarding a change in quality. I had a great rucksack from them that I threw out for some minor cosmetic problem, fraying threads I think. Replaced it with an 'identical' one from Sports Direct: broke in a week
You get what you pay for. Avoid.

Nice to know other people realise what happened to karrimor. Its cheap tat now unfortunately.

Gutted to see Brasher sold out to berghaus last year as well. Not the same i know but their pretty decent boots wont be the same anymore either. Boo, big time boos.
My daughter needs a rucksack for DOE expedition. Am I right in thinking this is going to be too small?
