Be aware, no matter what you do, it'll discconect after 10 or 20 minutes of streaming on the app or Google hubs. Otherwise would be the perfect baby monitor.

I've not had that problem, it works fine for me. Perhaps a faulty device?

How are you streaming it?

I guessed it was deliberate to cut down on traffic from their servers as I think you can only stream from the cloud, not direct from the device.

I read that other people have the same issue with Google hubs.

Yi cams don't play with Google or Amazon. At this price definitely the Logitech

Yeah good app (unless you're Android and don't get notifications) and the Windows app has 2x2 and 3x3 view which is awesome when I'm at the office or in the loft extension - I can see everything!

Great Camera got 2 as baby Monitors. Much better sound and video quality than devices branded as video baby monitors. Only feature missing compared to baby monitors is temperature reading or playing lullabies.

Storing your footage on their servers or anyones servers put me off.
I have the Swann version of these which use a SD card but can view on my cctv system as well.

I have a Yi Dome. Good camera but the App is rubbish. It used to be good until they start updating it last year. Motion detection notification is not immediate and sometimes I only receive them a few days later, not very useful as a security camera.

I Use my phone mainly, after 20 minutes it just has a popup asking if you want to continue streaming

There is a new camera available which is slightly cheaper and has SD storage. Uses a different app for some reason though.

Depends what your looking for as that one doesn't offer smart home integration, now if only they could add smart home integration and SD Card storage.
