Free if you bank online with Barclays

good stuff and good price

This will let you use the licence on the 2010 version, I used to like kaspersky but it seems to become more of a resource hog with each new version, I gave up on my last 6 months of my old licences in favour of Microsoft security essentials which is free and pretty light on resources.

Having said that I have still voted hot as its a good price for the product in itself.

good price, but u have to upgrade to 2010 cos 2009 doesnt work with win 7, we had to get new seats of 2010 at wrk for new machines even though we had a 15 user license.

never heard of the retailer though (Uk surplus.com) are they any good.

good to know that barclays gives it you free too.

I've tried both, Kaspersky 2010 and Microsoft Security Essentials (both free, I bank with Barclays), but found that both have slowed down my computer with Windows 7.

I am using now Avast (free version) and Windows 7 Firewall combined with Windows 7 Firewall Control (for outbound traffic) which are all free. I now have my old (XP-like) speed back on Windows 7.

you will be able to upgrade it to 2011 on july 8th

I spent my last few months as antivirus expert at Man Uni trying to get them to switch to Kaspersky.
But that was 2 years ago, and the corporate version not the private version.
Properly tuned it ought not to slow a machine any more than any other antivirus, but the default install might. Unless it's gone bad in the last 2 years.

This still free with HSBC ? anyone got a link thanks

I don't understand paying for anti virus when its free.....?

Educate me, why should I buy?

notepad is a 'text editor' and ms word is a 'word processor' - that's the exact difference.
