Yes I always do this with Kaspersky, you can always buy the previous years version for about £6/£7. When you get the box just take out the serial number page and chuck everything else, then go to the website and download the latest KIS software. The serial number will work in the normal way. Have some heat!

Been doing this for years (though usually via ebay). The best deals are normally the 3 PC license for 1 year, which you can usually pick up for a tenner or so!!

Don't be afraid of ebay either: ebay.co.uk/sch…N=1

Why are people still paying for these things when MSE is available for free!

Some online banking lets you download a version of Kaspersky for free?

Hot from me, I do this every year

Wouldn't trust em with security tho, if they did the job properly companies like kaspersky wouldn't exist.
And I say that as a windows only user, inc my phone.

Many of us use windows as an OS but steer clear of MSE and Internet Explorer in favour of other browsers and security products. It's all down to personal preference and what the individual perceives as the best and most secure product, even if it means having to pay for their peace of mind.

That is one of the most ridiculous statements I have read on here today!
It shows your lack of knowledge on the subject

Considering I repair computers for a living and have comptia a+ and n+ and microsoft msce qualifications, I kinda do know what I'm on about and that's why I don't trust the security of my PC to Microsoft themselves.
Cos their os is too easily attacked and compromised.
Their defender and mse products are better than nothing but are far too basic and rely on too much manual control to be effective.
However, I've yet to find a truly effective program that excels in all areas of PC security.

It could be argued that your incredulity regarding superior MSE alternatives does the same.
