It's not new deal, but I think that still many people don't know about it...
You could get Kaspersky Internet Security package for your pc/Mac/smartphone for free if you are Barclays customer and are registered to internet banking.

I had this on my galaxy s4 and it somehow affected the proxy settings of my home wi fi... I had to manually change them each time. Uninstalled it and everything worked fine.

Works fine for me and its an excellent package

Been free for Barclays customers for years
Worth the reminder - heat added

yeah that's because of the web protection as it monitors all data even in apps. I have it set to standard, your is most likely on extended.

Its free which is good, I just renewed mine for free. It's a decent antivirus for the mobile version, but I don't really use the desktop antivirus

yup been using this for years

They are rated the best by AV-Test... Can't be that bad... In my experience I know of Norton, Anti-Vir and obviously Microsoft Essential computers which were infected but didn't even know it! Kaspersky's protection is truely amazing with the added KSN you get with it.

This isn't best practice but a computer protected with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes is very protected indeed! Both paid versions of course for a bulletproof PC.

i'm not really bothered about av-test. i'm bothered about 22tanya test.if it don't work in the bin with it.
put a new anti virus on my machine and it's running just dandy.so on it stays.all machines are different.

Used this for a pc. Happy with it. As OP posted, now a new deal but useful for those who don't know. Hot!

Yes been using this for years as its free from Barclay's. Good reminder. I have switched off some nice to have but not critical features which get in the way sometimes. Heat added.

Been trying to get it to work with Win 10. Beta version.

i've always used free solutions like zonealarm and comodo. is this really any better ?

Used to get Norton Internet Protection for years but no cheap renewal deals around this year so as a Barclays customer I decided to give this a try. Certainly gets great reviews from PC magazines and you can't beat free of charge. Initial signs are good.

Been trying to get it to work with Win 10. Beta version.

Must like 8 where memory management is different to previous versions of Windows it probably needs a new version for compatability

Didn't know about this myself. I have have a Barclays account but I don't use it as my primary. Now that I am changing jobs I am thinking to use it more often and this antivirus thing is another come over here for me. I want to use their gadget insurance ideally.

It's one of the top three best anti-virus programs out there (according to lab tests). So yes, I would download it if I were you.

Also, you would then be able to uninstall Comodo and Zonealarm, as you just wouldn't need them.

better to be safe than sorry. macs are susceptible to viruses too. there just aren't as many threats as there are for windows

You're not doing it right.

I suppose you're going to blame it for not putting capitals after all your full stops as well.

thanks for that, i might give it a go then. been with barclays for over five years and probably won't be going anywhere anytime soon, even though i really don't like the decision to remove the counters in most of the branches!

OLD STORY.
Its been for good 5 years now...

i assume you can just get another license from them?

Don't use it on Mac OS X, as it doesn't goes well with it.
Macs are safe and don't need any anti viruses. Just enable firewall and thats it.

avast?

you didn't read the part of the deal where the OP acknowledges it's not new then ?

I voted cold. The offer is great. But Barclays wouldn't let me open an account unless I did a full transfer from my current back. Why can't I just open an account?

No ones mentioned Avast! which is also free for both desktop and mobile.:)

And when a PC with these on gets infested with pop-ups...? Correct, you're screwed. I installed the 30 day trial of Kaspersky onto a friend's laptop that had the Windows basics stuff on. It mashed through everything. Couple of re-starts later and she had 0 issues. This thing is powerful. The Windows basics are sadly not enough unless of course all you ever do online is book a holiday.

I was talking about Avast....not kaspersky.
Kaspersky is the best of all anti viruses for Windows OS.

Good AV, especially more so as it's free.
Nobody's mentioned so far, that you can use it on three computers.
I've used it now for just over three years on 2 desktops and a laptop.
