Dimon - do not start, here we do talk about price of the goods/services which has been dropped/reduced. Every one knows that Kaspersky is one of the best solution, unfortunately for computer only but not for paranoic people. Every program does send some data to developer, every company does know many things about your activities. The main one is Microsoft, and Google - who has complete information about you, what you have, where you been, what you said, bough, looked at,... ETC.
That is normal for this audience but soon they hear putin or russia - people who has got paranoya - show themselves.

Pretty much the best price since the £17.99 deal I posted here over Christmas.

Kaspersky was started by an ex-KGB official.Suspect that person still has very close ties with the Kremlin. So use at your own risk.

Might be quite a while before we are....
You would check who someone was before you let them in your home. Yet we install apps and programs onto our phones, tablets, and computers without really checking who produced them and why, especially the free ones.
I prefer to let Klaus Iohannis into my computer via Bitdefender.

Alright about Kasperky being Russian and etc. Can anyone then give a good alternate software? Equally good or even better?
I had this from Barclays and has worked nicely over the years and with the subscription now expiring i really want another reliable anti-virus.

Who are we friends with these days?
Makes me laugh this: GCHQ and the NSA are literally monitoring everything we search online through Prism and Tempora, and people are panicking over a Russian-Made anti-virus product.

Just google Prism and Tempora...have a look and the results and then ask yourself “who do I really need to worry about - the Russkis or our very own democratically elected leaders?”

George Orwell was an absolute visionary.
I love the way people are so narcissistic these days. They think their lives are so interesting that people want to spy on them.

The truth is no one gives a crap about your sad existence.
naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." H. L. Menken

Kaspersky is generally regarded as a better antivirus than most of the US bloatware. The real risks to us from malware are MUCH more significant than the potential (imaginary?) risk of the anti-virus having a back door vulnerability to USA, Russia or China! The main spy agencies have the tools to get into most computer systems, phones, etc if they really want to, so probably best to focus on the bigger/real threat you can easily solve rather than a lesser/illusory one that is much harder to.

This deal gets some heat from me.

You’ve not read any of the stuff released by Edward Snowden, have you?

They have a program that can search through all your data looking for ‘key terms’. Think of it like a Google search function for just your data. Scary, really.
So if its 10 licenses for a year. I am happy to buy it and are there 9 other people who will be interested to share? It will cost each £2.2 for a year. Thats a great deal i think. PM if you’re interested.
Great deal. Usually i go for the deal on 5 devices for around £17 - £20 on ebay (retail pack) as i don't need more, but for this is great price. Heat added.

I should create a bingo card for Kaspersky.
So many classic comments in this thread.

Still waiting for a "BREXIT" comment.
no reason not to buy this arguably your data is safer under their protection (mine is anyway on my mobile) than the many internet companies in the west that have their customers data taken over by the US/western government and military intelligence agencies

in a word the hate is just the usual diatribe of "russophobia" because they wont be dictated to and they wont go along with western interests that harm their own national security

They are welcome to knock themselves out on my info; nothing of interest. However for anyone using on-line banking on their device then there is something that's worth protecting very strongly...

They'll just see I've been very active on HUKD and don't have any money, due to frivolous purchases I didn't need, because I can't resist a good deal!
