I don't fancy the KGB going through my PC Thanks

Understand, so you prefer CIA, it's fine mate At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, Orwell was right and we cannot escape for now.
I have been using for around 3 years now and I find it excellent...in that it is very low maintenance and as i have never had a problem with a virus presume it does its job. Only issue i faced was this week. Cut to story: Wobbly screen wobbly screen... I lost my phone (left on train I thought) and could not access google 'where's my phone' as i had 2 stage verification which requires your phone to approve any log in. DOH!. So as i had activated kaspersky on my phone I used my laptop with kaspersky loaded to 'lock and locate' and take a 'mugshot'. Meanwhile i logged it as missing with the train operator. 1 hr later train operator confirms it has been handed in (there are many good people out there) and i get it back. Has Kaspersky locked the phone or taken a mug shot...no. That evening...about 8 hours later while using it the phone does lock and take my mugshot. Not very good. I have now arrested myself and handed myself in.
If the KGB want to look at my holiday photos that are welcome
Good software used it for years.

One of the best, low on Cpu security software I know😁
Damn, had been hanging on for a deal like this. Bought this from Amazon only yesterday at £26, so kicking myself now. Very good deal.

When in US is a kind of democracy then in Russia totalitarianism instead. Russians has very good practice in manipulation nations. Mentally and physically. I love Russians, they are the best friends, but they are unlucky to leaders.

This is a great deal if you want the best Anti Virus protection.

You have more to worry about American or UK products.

Can someone explain me how can Amazon deny to sell me the product due to geographical restrictions, my country is in the EU. Online code delivery just gives me that error when trying to checkout.

This may not work in your country, that is why they won't let you buy. But use VPN with UK IP and you can buy it.

KSN part of kaspersky can be disabled. The issues faced by kaspersky, is faced by all cloud services.

Could ksn be better, yes. for instance the cloud service part should be shut off when not in use etc, and explicit permission granted by the user when its needed.

The contractor is at fault here.

So I have just renewed the 5 device licence for another year a few weeks ago. Can I buy this and pop into my wallet to start after my current one expires in 11 months?

Did you have Mobile Data and Location on?
5 devices for 2 years at £22.99 is a better deal (if you only need 5 devices).

Edit2...sorry, that might not be right - see: community.kaspersky.com/kas…336

Edit 1...@Northerndave, you can stack licences - see: hotukdeals.com/com…964

That's a good question - I'd ask Kaspersky support directly about it, or pose the question on their forums.

Yes. It's in a city too so 4g. No idea why it took so long to activate the command.

Kaspersky license has three years shelf life. If you buy this now, you can save it and activate on version 2023 if you wish.
But no point doing it, this Amazon offer is on every few months. Last similar offer was on three weeks ago when I bought one license at the same price of £16.99 which I will use on Nov 2019 when my current license expires.

Hmm. That is weird. I usually can't get anything to work unless I have Mobile Data on AND location.
(luckily) I haven't needed to try the Lost Device features but maybe I can't rely on them as much as I thought.
I've been buying Kaspersky for years but I may give Bitdefender ago for a change at some point.

To be fair to Kaspersky I haven't asked their support team to help explain this...and my stupidity can never be ruled out!

This article suggests that you don't activate the key but you can purchase it and it will be valid for around 3 version releases (not sure if that means years). The key point seems to be you can get a licence key well in advance just don't activate it until u need it.

Yes, I used to buy a couple of kaspersky keys for one device from G2A.com. They used to be around £1.05 (currently €1.99). You need to use a VPN and set it to India to activate the license. Buy two keys, activate one and add the other one to your Kaspersky account click. When time comes you activate the second key.

@Crossbow There's plenty of free alternatives if you look around. Paid ones are ok, but to be fair Windows Defender is fine if you don't use dodgy sites.

Yeah? What if you do a lot of downloading from 'dodgy sites'?
@superfreddy@RiverDragon8 we have tidied this thread up. If you persist on this arguing / thread spoiling in this, or any other thread we will have no other option but to issue infractions / suspensions.
