Are these that loud ?

I have the 2005 - they are superb. Problem is, whenever i go to the cinema now, its never loud enough so i wait until they come out on bluray and get the best experience

Well worth it if you can. The 3005's are in a different league to the 2005's.

yep it's the sub that makes the difference with the 3005se
bought the 3005se off play.com last year for £750 and sold em this year for same price . just picked up the b&w mt-30 used for £800. have a listen to the b&w especially the pv1 sub absolutely fantastic!!

The missis would file for divorce but these are fantastic value!

Agreed, it's won What-HiFi awards for what 5 years straight now? But you do have to be careful what you pair them with they can be a bit bright paired with the wrong amp. The Kef's on the other hand are very neutral and will play nice with pretty much anything you throw them at, plus the MT-30's tend to cost quite a bit more than the 3005's new.

haha! bet the neighbours love you

I have these. Can't fault them and they look the nuts.

Decent price, although can be had for around £600 with 0% finance elsewhere, if I'm not mistaken?

Correct!! i have these along with 50 panny, flshing mobile screens and flamming rustling crisp packets are athing of the past for me

How would they pair with a Pioneer 920 (or the 3005)?

Banned

would be good to hear them before buying but they seem to have favourable reviews

This offer doesn't seem to work .

how do these compare to Logitech 2.1 computer speakers?

I think carrots have been reduced to 25p at ASDA, might be more up your street.

I'm very tempted by the KHT1005 but unsure how much of an upgrade they would be compared to my Jamo speakers I currently have paired to an Onkyo amp.

soooo tempting ........... but no money

The BOGOF on the Kef Cis falls within my interest. Anyone got it to work?

For the average joe, how do these compare with Logitech's Z-5500?

KEF is a high-quality, reliable manufacturer who take quality as a priority (so much so that they apparently won't allow couriers to send their products) but is there £300 worth of difference (ignoring the cose of an amp)?

Awesome set of speakers i have the 2005,the sub however is great until it packs in there is a known fault on the motherboard my advice to anyone buying these is never leave it in standby always switch it off when not in use

Yes, the base detaches and fixes on the back for wall mounting.

I know the 3005's go extremely well with the Pioneer VSX-LX52, so I'd say yes they would but you should really demo them to make sure.

Not a bad price, but you can get much better speaker packages for the money if you don't mind them being bigger and less shiny.

Cold. You can buy speakers for £2 on ebay

Yeah I agree, my KEF speakers cost over three times this price.

Have to read up on these, any of these setups come with wireless satellite speakers?

No need for that sort of comment.

People buying them for home cinemas obviously watch shed-loads of crap Hollywood movies, because they're the only sort where 'loud sound' would go any way to improving it. For people that watch good movies, you could watch it on an old portable and still get the same experience since sound really isn't important.

Would these be good to play my 128kps mp3's on?!

Tempted on the 3005se. If anyone has this, and with me being a novice on this kind of thing, can someone confirm if every speaker is wireless? had a look on their site and watched some animation thing which wasn't 100% clear. Also, if they are, how do they get power, do they have to be plugged into the mains or something?

Oh wow, v.funny. \sarcasm.

That's not even related in anyway to this deal.

Maybe if you linked to some cheepo speakers, then it would have actually made sense.

Are the codes working? I wanted to buy the central speaker C6LCR and i tried the code shown on pictures above (KEFSEP8) and got a message that the code is invalid!!!
