What makes these stand out is
- Bluetooth aptX support (= higher quality if your phone supports it)

Note: think this is for audiophiles, specs beat B&W MM-1 (those have no Bluetooth and no optical in) and those retail at £399 (but do have a nice aluminium finish)

Haha, yes but audiophiles will use optical in (= 96kHz sampling rate), has got two class D amps (so not the usual active/passive speaker) and bluetooth has the aptX codec

Or £250 from John Lewis...mine should arrive soon! Both very good deals though. I'm connecting MM1 to iMac and via 3.5mm to Echo Dot..like that these KEF has Bluetooth and if they are anything like my KEF Q100 they will sound great!

Interesting, but I wonder: if you connect the Amazon Echo Dot to the B&W MM-1 (via 3.5mm cable) or Kegg Egg (via 3.5mm cable or Bluetooth) will these speakers wake automatically when you ask "Alexa, ..." ?
Or do you have to switch them on via remote or power button on the speaker?
