Using scales I discovered my children ate 2.5x the recommended serving. A recommended serving is tiny. This is never shown on adverts. I suppose one is expected to eat cereal, toast, fruit etc and not just a large bowl of (tasty) sugar!

Surely just teaching them healthy eating habits is the way forward.

I remember my mum giving me a verbal battering for being a chubby 14 year old, it worked too, I got fit and trim.

I wouldn't let my children have sugar at all. I'd feed them avocado with a spoon.
