Haha... If you 'deskfast' with sugary, fat-filled cereal bars instead of eating a good breakfast you could be doing untold damage to your body and mind. By Pat Thomas
]Behind the label: Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Soft Bake Bars

..."only around eight percent fruit", "The rest is fillers – mostly sugar, fat and bulking agents –- The Nutri-Grain cereal bar contains 31g/100g of sugar, and 13.5g/100g of fat." (69g/100g carbs)

Still, hot deal.

You may disagree but you would be wrong, lots worse in a Mars bar.

For those bleeting on about the sugar content of these,

Do you numpties not realise that all fruits are pretty much solid sugar? There is more sugar in a banana than in any chocolate bar.

It is a different type of sugar though.

PS I saw this offer last night, and it was only on the strawberry and apple bars. The rest were normal price.

I like them, are a little on a sweet side but I'll have them for a quid.

They are a bit sweet but well worth it for that price, Good find *thumbs up*

I think most people know that fruit is sugar mate, but we're talking about refined sugar and glucose, not to mention all the other crap. I think it's disgusting that Kellogs market these as an alternative to breakfast, wouldn't touch these with a barge pole

The Kellogs bars were suggested as an alternative breakfast bar.......so why are you comparing them to a Mars bar???????? Either you didn't bother reading the OP...or you need to drastically re-think your breakfast routine.

Almost as bad as the dumbo who tried telling us there's more sugar in a banana FFS..............:whistling:

I seem to have posted a bargain on a health forum, sorry! I eat these with yoghurt, break it up into chunks and put it in the yoghurt, very nice.

You're quoting the facts for a two finger kit kat though. A normal sized kit kat would be double all of those figures. Obviously if you halve the size of a portion it's going to be half.

But for a lunch most kids have a two finger kit kat. That is the standard size for most people anyway.

i too bought these, and thiught iyt was a nice deal...but again more sugary for me, but ly little ones loves it. Try alpine with strawberry and yogurt. thy are just perfect and you can get it for a quid in homebargains or pound savers... elsewhere i guess it is more than 1.50.

I think you didnt bother to read the thread and the post i had commented on (was quoted), which kinda makes you look silly now. I quoted somebody saying these are as bad a putting a choclate bar in the kids lunch box, which they are not. Please READ before posting to have a go at somebody.

Many Thanks
