Looks pretty neat, will be installing them in the wall of the fake chimney, should be useful at least for phone charging.

i believe so, there is one amazon review that says he thought it was 12V because of the picture but it wasnt. it also says "LED colour: stainless" so i think the sticker is generally confusing....

Hager and MK usb sockets use about 150mW, which works out at about 25p a year. Yes, technically wasteful, but compared with other things it's pretty insignificant
