Will this work with the Mac Air ?

Does this not work with any new Apple MacBooks?

Shipping: (UK 48hr Delivery) £0.79

Ordered hoping it will charge my iPad.

Ordered 2 myself, lets hope they actually send them both and not just one like the yale locks!!!!

Still not clear wether it will poewe up a macbbok air or pro (all references are to powerbook??) but for the price worth a try.

Thanks for the share.

Looks like it doesn't have the adapter for the macbook air/pro - googled the tip numbers and they are only for the powerbook, ibook and one ipod type one but no magsafe connector. Having looked around it appears there is only one website I can find that actually sell the adaptor and its $99 plus shipping. The adaptor's are not officially available from kensington it appears.

Tried one in an iPad - not compatible.

These don't work on the iPhone 4 or the MacBook pro's - ok for older apple products still a bargin price

Thanks !

I can confirm that it's the the old iBook/PowerBook charger and not the 'magsafe' charger that has been used since the change to macbook, macbook pro and air.

probably why it's 99p

Waste of time, if its also for Powerbooks/iBooks (last sold 2006) it's unlikely to work with any iPod newer than the 1st Gen Nano/5th Gen 'Classic' etc.

voted cold as looks like a no go for ipad2s

Yeah, I've voted cold as well as it doesn't charge my dell laptop, Phillips toothbrush or my braun shaver.

Lol!

Good point - it may be a 12V/15V/19V charger. Remember the first iPod - it was using FireWire (12V) to charge.

Still, it is (was) an excellent price if you can use it.

For the cost of a cheese burger at McD's I wasn't expecting much and now that mine have arrived I know it wont work on an iDevice.

So I think I'm gonna try and reverse engineer one to get a variable or fixed voltage supply. Not exactly got much to loose if I blow it up!

If your ok with basic soldering here is a guide to making a magsafe adapter
