That's a great price, just a shame my car radio doesn't have aux-in.

iPhone has good support for A2DP and should work with the remote as well.

My Focus doesnt have aux in but ive managed to read away around it by running a cable from the cd changer port at the back on my head unit (as i dont have a cd changer). I will then connect this to it and pair the bluetooth to my Galaxy S fingers crossed happy days :O)

Oooh I have aux in and I've lost my charger for my jawbone but music as well

I'd like to use this unit to replace the CD Auto-changer in the boot of our Galaxy. The auto changer was stolen but the connector is still there. I assume it must have some power and audio out and some control lines e.g. to FF, next track, next disc. The Galaxt was made by VW to it is likely a VW not Ford connector. Any one know where I could find pin outs and if the range of this would reach from the the rear of the car to the front its BT so should be fine.

I would check a company like incarexpress.co.uk or caraudiodirect.com for parts like this. Car Audio Direct run the excellent forums at talkaudio.co.uk

If it isn't clear what you need from their WWW sites, then they have knowledgeable staff.

Thank for this and the post from benjefreys I will take a look this evening.

Here are some pics of the connector

Does it look like a common type? If this is not an option do they make mutl changer CD units that I could drop in with an aux in or BT?

bay item number 150457271818 for ford galaxy 1997- 2000 depending on your stero model mines a 6000 ford then you need to buy the head unit keys to take it out a few quid and just unplug the cd changer cable from the back and plug in the above. You can sit the box in your glove box or anywhere tidy then plug it into the bluetooth 12v car adapter.

Thanks for this..

The Galaxy (Ford Vehicle not the Phone!) has the head unit in the dash and controlls on the steerting, the CD Autochanger was in the boot inside a flip top storage box. From the look of the listing I could plug the unit into the plug that used to connect to the auto changer, plug in the BT unit and connect the power line for the BT unit to a 12v rail.

Just noticed that the unit has a mic so putting it in the boot is not ideal, but I've a Nokia car phone unit that I can stick on the dash. I can the BT from my San Fran phone to the Nokia for voice and media only to this BT unit.

For power I can use this ebay item: 140349723480

If you unplug the cable that is currently running to your boot and plug in the converter box from the bay it comes with a phono to 3.5mm socket so you can have it coming out in the glove box, dash or under the steering wheel and then plug the bt device into it and in to the 12v and mount the remote on your steering wheel and your good to go for calls and music
