The Kensington portable USB battery pack is now only £7.97 at PCWorld

This isn't available for home delivery but there seems to be plenty of stock available instore, at least in my area

I've used these for a while and have been happy with their performance

These are very lightweight, only 100g, I use mine to power a portable hard drive, which I use to back up memory cards.

It provides a very cheap solution for anyone out there looking for an easy way to backup CF cards on the go, dedicated backup devices are hugely overpriced in my opinion

I paid over £45 for mine a while back so I think these are a steal at £7.97, they currently seem to be available from various online sellers from around the £25 mark

It also comes packaged with various international adapters, which are very handy if you travel around a bit

Bought last 3 in Halifax.

Great gifts

Thanks

Thanks for this, been wanting something like this as backup for my smartphone. My local PC World had 2 on the shelf (marked £12.99 IIRC) which was just as well since the Collect @ Store knew nothing about my order... oh so typical.

Got it home, nice neat box, well made and comes with a multi-adapter for worldwide usage as well as a carrying bag. I plugged it into the wall socket, but it failed to charge, so I tried it via USB on my netbook and it started to charge OK.... the little blue lights illuminate in sequence. Plugged it back into the wall socket and it now charges OK.

A little bit odd, but thought I'd mention it in case anyone else had the same issue.

Does anyone know the mAh of the battery in this?

And does it come with a plug for a Nokia phone (the small one?)?

Thanks!

The battery capacity is listed as 7 Wh so unless my maths is wrong it should be 1400 mAh

It only comes with a USB to mini USB cable

Picked one up today based on this post so thanks OP, works great.

Picked mine up today and currently charging my Ipod Touch 2nd gen with it.

Well worth the money

Anyone had any luck charging thier PS3 controller with this?

I just discovered these at my local PCWorld. Perfect for when I am away on business and need extra power.

So cheap in fact I bought two.

Can't believe these have not been made hotter but I guess most people don't understand or know what one is.
