Went into my local Salisbury's (Hereford) this afternoon a spotted this Kenwood Chrome Can Opener with bottle opener and knife sharpener reduced from £13.99 to £3.50. Don't know if its nationwide but they had quite a few, still full price online.

"Chuck out all those grimy old manual tin-openers and make space for the only one you'll ever need: the Kenwood Chrome Can Opener. Its 40W motor opens cans of all shapes from small and standard domestic to bulky 1.2kg monsters.

The soft-touch rubber grip gives increased comfort, while the magnet holds the lid in place for safe disposal and no more nicked fingers. The machine's hands-free action automatically starts the blade cutting with just a little light pressure on the lever and stops it once the lid is removed.

The removable blade is easy to clean for better hygiene, and the non-slip feet hold the opener securely in position for stability and safety.

In addition to all this, the can opener has on-board cord storage to save space, plus integrated knife sharpener and bottle opener. The Kenwood Chrome Can Opener carries a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee."

will check it out

We have had on of these for years, I can recommend it highly if you can get one. Must have opened Hundreds of cans and bottles. The knife sharpener is useful too..... you can't beat a sharp knife:w00t:

had plenty in stock at my local sainsburys (wigan) except they were £13.99!!!!

£13-99 in Folkestone.
Even told them that Robsprocket from Hereford sent me!! Did'nt do any good still £13-99:whistling:

Had one of these for a while, bought mine from amazon for £12 and would highly recommend it even at £12 I consider it a bargain because it's saved me money over time, now I can buy value tins of stuff and not worry about whether they have ring pulls or not.

well maybe I've never had a decent hand operated tin opener, I hate having to spend 15 minutes trying to open one bloody can because the tin opener would keep slipping off so I ended up just saying "f**k it!" and buying tins with ringpulls. If you've never had a problem like that using a manual tin opener from time to time then you would very much be in the minority.
