I bought this washing machine over 3 years ago and have never had any problems with it. Good price for a nice looking washing machine. Sold by Currys via their Ebay site and free delivery

its cheap but its Currys generic brand just licences the Kenwood name, its warranty lets it down 1 year parts according to the page. Even in year one you will be looking at a small fortune for labour, other companies charge £120+ labour charges so a fault and it will cost you the same sort of money as a 5 year full warranty machine.

And yes the Consumer Rights Act might get you out of paying the labour charge but after 6 months you need to prove the machine had a fault. Only covering a year in parts is pretty poor going from any manufacture.
Bought this recently after my old one packed up, and cant believe how much better this one is considering the price.

Yes I know Kenwood don't make it but I speak as an owner of this very machine for over 3 years and i have never had a problem, I think I paid around £279 at the time. I didn't take the extended warranty, I have been more than happy with this purchase

Thanks Jason!

Rather spend tiny bit more and get a 5yr warranty one. Peace of mind.
Short warranty, slow B rated spin speed which will make drying more expensive, but you could do worse for your money.
As said above I also have had for just over 3 years now with no issues and happy with it. Spin speed seems ok. Goes upto 1400. Dont know what the norm is nowadays

1400 is the norm, 1600 is better and reduces drying costs.

Yes spin up to 1400rpm and I have never had problems with drying, and I dry my clothes on an airer indoors!

Never said it was a problem, just cheaper and more eco friendly to spin faster.

Built-in obsolescence nowadays with bonded plastic drums... Spin at 800 & your machine will last a good long time. Spin at 1600/1400 every wash & you'll maybe get 3 or 4 yrs before the bearings are shot or the plastic webbing around the bearings has cracked & drum leaking. Bearing replacement is possible out of warranty but only with some ingenuity & an angle grinder/ waterproof epoxy resin.

Which part? Ask anyone who fixes white goods about plastic welded drums on modern machines..
