Ask your partner

I've got a Kenwood dishwasher - not this model - and I wouldn't recommend. Spend a bit more for a model with plenty of good reviews.

Good for those who don't have a wife I suppose.

No idea if this is any good but the 'Kenwood' microwave we have is actually Curry's own brand with a badge on, so any warranty/tech support is done through them.

I can't be sure but I think all the Kenwood stuff they sell is 'badge engineered' as it were.

It is. I had a Kenwood dishwasher. Packed up just after a year. I now have a Bosch. A much better machine. I would never buy a Kenwood. Just a badge these days

I have a different Kenwood model and it is the worst appliance I have ever purchased. This model may be any better but I would definitely recommend spending a bit more for something decent. I only bought it as it has a stainless steel front and now regret it

Kenwood my left butt cheek, it will be made by BEKO (Grundig).
Kenwood as a quality brand doesn't actually seem to exist anymore - for white goods at least (or rather black goods for this post).

Kenwood Ltd has been owned by the Italian company De'Longhi since 2001.

We have a Kenwood dishwasher and it is truly awful. Cleans dishes, but it leaks. As an engineer, it's easy to see the poor design. The rubber seals are in the wrong place and easily knocked.

That said, it is not this model, so who knows. But I wouldn't buy another Kenwood at any price.

I hear Bosch are ok and the Electrolux at our last house was definitely much more intelligently designed. No idea how much those cost though.

I've had one from Currys before it's an own brand labelled it's probably made by some one like matsuri or pro line Electra etc. had mine 13 months motor went and I hadn't bought that rip off extra warranty and they wanted to repair it for a charge. Called tearing standards as had had 4 faults in the year and got a zanussi. No probs since

thanks for this op

Nah its made by Midea in China, they make bottom end Hoover/Candy dishwashes and Whirlpool ones now, opps shouldnt have said that.

Beko's just a brand name of Arcelik's which is turn is owned by Koc Holdings whose chairman is Mustafa Koc.

its stupid because low end flavel are made by Beko and top end are made by AGA so confusing for the consumer.

Kenwood's website confirms this: kenwoodworld.com/uk/…ood

But the brand name for large appliances was sold off.

I wouldn't touch a curry's own make with a barge pole. Have a Sandstrom, (or had) packed in yesterday after only 16 months. Plus the rrp is ****.

Best to pay more and get a Bosch!
0% finance too.

OK so lets compare the input of our 2 posts

Mine - Trying to help people by pointing out that some brands hold different level of quality not in true to the reputation of the brand name

Yours - Just not very nice to be honest , less input than mine and less value than mine = TROLLING!! and your posts are the ones why I dont bother posting on here because there is so much TROLLING!

I've been in the white goods trade for 22 YEARS!! and have contact with all the major OEM's and I want HELP people to know some knowledge that then can possibly use in future (which my posts has in it)

If anyone is interested I can give a list of all the OEM's who owns which brand names and tell you where there machines are made.

For instance

Panasonic - Good well know Japanese brand, high quality products. White Goods made in Turkey by Vestel, OK to slightly higher standards to other Vestel brands but not to the quality you would expect from a Panasonic product. Same with Sharp white goods, Vestel.

A lot of the brands names are just a badge in loan, like Russell Hobbs white goods have nothing at all to do with the parent company Salton, Yep they are on there website but are very poor cheap white goods products that are brought into the UK by another company who said hey we got these products and want to put your name on it for can we please ? and you can put them on your website and you have nothing to do with it, how about it then ? and salton gos' yep you handle it all and we'll charge you a licence fee.

I have this model bought from Curry's last June and it's truly awful. The dishes (glasses in particular) often come out dirtier than they go in. We've done everything correctly - salt, regular cleaning, rinse aid, not stacking the dishes together too closely - but we're very lucky to put a load through and have every item come out clean. I usually have to end up doing half the dishes by hand. Don't purchase it.
