Yes bought a Kenwood dishwasher from Currys. Load of rubbish.

Was £949.99 haha yeah sure. This will be constantly on or around this price then up it goes for a few weeks then back down so they can say "wow massive saving"

This is a good deal, provided you've got the space for it.

Heat.

Now I just need to buy a big enough house to put this in.

Voted hot but no drink dispenser! Would expect one for £500. Not a deal breaker though.

I have a Samsung one of these and it is a complete pile of junk. Cracks and creaks in the night like it is continuously making ice blocks (ice maker is off) to the point where I have to close the kitchen door to get a decent night's sleep.

Would like to sell it but would actually feel guilty making it someone else's problem.

This one cannot possibly be as bad as the Samsung.

I know that a lot of these look similar, however this is a dead ringer for the Bush one I got from Clearance Bargains (the one stocked in Argos and Homebase). That only cost about £500 new (£300 from CB) so the RRP for this should be taken with a pinch of salt at best.

Nice find

OK THANKS!!!!!

The Daewoo one they have for thirty pounds more seems better. Our Daewoo fridge freezer is still going strong after 14 years.

currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

I bought this F/F last week, word of warning, the unboxed dimensions are far greater than 700mm wide, because they don't include handles in the measurements, the body is about say 680 wide, but handle with add another 80mm or so. So you'll need at least a 760 door or more, the handles don't come of either, but maybe the doors will....

so had to return it

No way, Currys are a highly reputable company and they would never stoop to such a low practise and risk damaging their excellent reputation.

Is Kenwood another one of those brands (TV/electrics/kitchen equipment/fridges etc) that are are manufactured by cheap factories but badged later? Eg Vestel/UMC making TVs for Hitachi, Toshiba, JVC, Sharp etc

It's the 'Sports Direct Effect' as I now call it.

Basically the badge/logo on the item is NOT actually made by them or even for them. It's like me buying a no-name jogging bottoms & sticking an adidas patch on it!! Sort of (_;)

As an aside, one should close one's doors at night anyway as it can help prevent the spread of a fire if it occurred.

Yep this is true of many once respected brand name that have been bought up (or simply leased) and used on mass market goods - Blaupunkt, Hitachi, Polaroid and lots of others spring to mind.

What adds to the confusion here is the fact there are two different Kenwood companies: the British kitchen appliances firm (founded by Ken Wood, no less, but now owned by Italian De'Longhi) and the Japanese electronic equipment firm owned by the Japanese company JVC-Kenwood. I assume these fridges are made in China for De'Longhi and sold through Kenwood down in Hampshire.

Sounds a bit like the chancellor making a massive saving on the EU surcharge when it was already that price.

Many thanks. Whilst I had considered the space available in the kitchen - I hadn't thought of the possibility it wouldn't fit through the door.

I do!

WINTER IS COMING - who needs fridge / freezer?!

This is a 'Kenwood' in name only. Service and support is not provided by Kenwood but by Currys instead. As has been pointed out previously, you are basically buying a Bush fridge freezer with a Kenwood badge. If that floats your boat, then good luck to you! Not voting either way as it is regularly this price and doesn't usually get this much heat.

Ours does make a clunck now and again, mind have taken of back ventilation panel(having been in refrigeration thought it would assist the efficiency?)but this would not help in keeping down any noise. But still love the gloss black f/f even so,the 10 year Daewoo was still going strong and just purred along before giving to Bulky Boy,a local charity.

Did someone say "Yop"? Mmmmmmmm

This is a good example of someone needlessly pointing out obvious irony.

If you paid £949 for this you need Jesus.
People will pay too much for an item just because they want to feel special

Once you spend more than £300 for a fridge you are far and above the amount that you will feel good if like the samsung fridges it just starts NOT WORKING and your food starts going off without any valid reason

If like me you get yours for £29 found it on the-bay and the guy said it was broke i thought i would buy and fix strangely it works perfectly without any fixing, then you feel sorry for the people that paid anything over £250 pounds
Mine is the samsung American style fridge similar looking to this.

Just because someone says £450 off doesn't mean the value is more than £20 really

Great Deal post when compared to the RRP
Terrible Value for money product

We have a Daewoo American style side by side with Ice and cold water dispenser for 7 years with no problems and would highly recommend paying a little extra for one.

I do!

I'd suggest a freezer about a quarter of the size then.

Just ordered one...

Was only £429.99 though - you should update title
