Have been looking to buy a stand mixer for a while. I've always liked the design of this machine but it's never been at a great price. Saw this deal in the latest Costco coupon book. Seems to be a pretty good price compared to other retailers, per below:

Amazon: £253.99
John Lewis: £349.95
Currys: £379.00

On offer are two colour options (no difference in specification)

KMX51: Raspberry Red
KMX54: Peppercorn Black

Plus, I do prefer using Costco for the more expensive appliances as their returns department are usually very good (personal experience).

If you like the deal, then some heat would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

A few specifications:

>Iconic Kenwood kMix design
>5 Litre bowl capacity and 500 W motor with advanced electronic speed control
>Planetary mixing action and unique fold function
>Includes 3 non-stick bowl tools: K Beater, balloon whisk and dough hook
>Range of easy-to-attach, high-quality accessories available for 2 power outlets

Just to add an update to really sweeten the deal...

Kenwood have started an offer from 1 Oct where you can claim a free attachment (choice of 3) with the purchase of a kMix Stand Mixer.

Choose one of the following:

AX950 Food Mincer with Sausage and Kebbe makers
AX643 Rotary Slicer / Grater
AX970 Pasta Roller

I've personally gone for the slicer/grater.

Obviously, you're not limited to buying it from Costco - it applies to a range of participating retailers (unsure who, but I've seen that John Lewis have the offer advertised on the product page)

Applies to purchases made from 1 Oct - 31 Dec.

Below is the link to the form and the T&Cs

If you've not seen what the attachments are like in action, then here is a quick video from YouTube:

The attachments are worth at least £60 a pop so this is great value for money!!

Would John Lewis price match?

Considering that Costco operates under a membership system (whereby you have to pay roughly £20-£30 p/a to become a trade member) I would highly doubt the ability to honour the price match.

The terms of the 'Never Knowingly Undersold' tag line define high street competitor as 'competitors trading on the same basis as us'...which would not work with the membership system of Costco.

I haven't personally contacted them to find out but it's unlikely.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is a thing of beauty !

It's very similar in appearance and functionality to the infamous KitchenAid Stand Mixer, however, at only 500W, there are others that outshine the Kenwood kMix in terms of performance.

It's not the Wattage i's what you do with it you know ;-)

This has some fab functions on it like the build in mincer ect very usefull

Very welcome. It is a damn good deal. Hope many others benefit from it also!

Brilliant find & excellent price!!! Bought 1 today in Raspberry Red Bargain price & looking forward to receiving my free attachment

Thank you

did you receive the rotary slicer thing yet? i cant decide whether to get that or the pasta one. Cant find any pictures of how many options it comes with...for example, how many slice thicknesses and grate thickness attachments

Not received it yet, but I've had a look in the instruction book for you and there is a good diagram of all the included drums...seems like a reasonable selection. Here's the link:

There's also a rather good video on YouTube featuring the attachment and shows the different drums in action (ignore the fruit press as that doesn't come with it!)

Hope that helps!

No trouble at all

Could anyone please tell me why they think costco are a "participating retailer" because ive got a feeling we are never going too see these attachments because kenwood will say they are not a participating retailer.Brilliant deal though. Got one yesterday from trafford.Had the last red one but they still had about 10 black ones left.

Why do you not think they are? Go ahead and call Kenwood...that's what I did

perfect! just what i was looking for, dont know why i didnt think to check the manual lol...
think il be going for this one then, seems like it has alot more uses then the pasta roller...
and the grinder can be bought for like £20 than the other 2, so its not worth it.

thankyou so much i was about to order from amazon for £254! :-)

Glad I could be of assistance. I'm still waiting for the attachment to come through (submitted my redemption form about 3 weeks ago) so it does take a little bit of patience.

Which colour did you go for in the end? I went back last week and found that they were also doing the almond version in the deal which I really wanted from the start. Oh well...still a great machine!

I got raspberry red! I had wanted the blue colour but it was amazon exclusive and therefore £60 more than costco so red it was and i love it. The deal at costco ended on oct 14th but when i called the manager agreed to still give me the discount!! I couldnt believe my luck, I paid £202.80 inc vat so absolutely thrilled. I will be sending off my redemption form and crossing my fingers, i see it does say up to 4 weeks though so guess we'll see what happens. Let us know when/if you receive it! Thankyou again :-)

Hey jolo300! Would you mind letting me know which Costco branch you got your kMix from? Thanks

mail-stephens, i must point out that i was only allowed the extra discount as they'd been out of stock (luckily for me!) while the offer was on.

Update for everyone: i posted off my redemption form and receipt 2 weeks ago yesterday and today turned up my nice shiny new food grater and receipt :-) Im over the moon! So that solves the mystery, Costco is a participating retailer! amazing bargain bargain!

That's OK, I may just mention to them that I was told to come back with a 'rain check' and see if they're kind enough.

I love the guys at my local Costco. I simply informed them that they were out of stock when the deal was on and I didn't know they issued 'rain check' vouchers. They promptly checked their stock, went a fetched me one, and gave me the discount
